The Lakers are across the country , but I've been to 5 games on their home court and countless when they travel to the east coast to surrounding states. I've been following them since I was a little kid... I'm sure you know how it is when you're from a state with no pro teams locally.

Not me Cebby. OG Dook ***** here. I was on campus when the mattresses were being lit on fire after the '01 FF collapse. There are very very few Dook players I even respect.

Duke gets hated on for no reason. They could win a national championship and all of you would still believe they were terrible and overrated. Not to mention I don't appreciate the hate on my Lord and Savior.

Do you know me personally? No, big dog. I started liking both Duke and Florida when I was 6 years old, Duke because I saw them on a recorded video that my grandparents had, and Florida because I would play with them on video games and liked their logo. And for the millionth time, I was NOT going to support a team that misused their best players, especially a sport that I was new to.

I shouldn't have to explain that to you, but I'm sick of my image being tarnished like that for no reason.

ALOT of people hate the YANKEES though, and its literally for NO reason whatsoever...just because theyre good, (they werent for the last 9 years), and they have good players and a high payroll?

Hell, they shouldn't even lose a single game with the payroll that they have, because they're average player salary is almost double of what any other teams is. It's seriously gotten out of hand and I know it's not really their fault, it baseball's fault for not having a salary cap....

So you admit your hate is misguided, but still hate them anyway? ...And if baseball instituted a salary cap, and the Yankees were maximizing their cap yr to yr and the Marlins were constantly under it by $15mil or more you'd still hate the Yankees right?

I wouldn't...Unless the cap was set at $200M or some god awful high amount that other teams couldn't afford.

If everyone's playing under with the same deck, I'm all for it, but their not. It's like all teams are playing Texas Hold 'Em, but the Yankee's have 15 cards in their hand, while almost everyone else has two.

The Yankee's never have to fold, they can see every flop because they're going to have a shot at damn near every hand.

Maybe not the best analogy, but hey.

The Yank's (organization, not players) don't have to work nearly as hard to to win as everyone else does. They don't have to feel the wrath of a bad draft or a bad signing because financially they can absorb the damage with no back lash. They have, IMO, an unfair advantage and that is why I hate them. It's not their fault, and I get that, but hey, I hate them anyway for it

I have to go with the Yankees. I know a lot of people who don't even watch baseball and hate them, and hate several of their players just because of all the media coverage.
