Playoff moments that hurt so bad, you wanted to cry?

Here's how I know my fave teams are my fave sports teams and to never change.

My fave teams had playoff moments that made me want to cry as a fan. This is what ultimately broke the Knicks-Suns tie for me as the Knicks have never had a postseason make me wanna cry moment to me

    (1993-now)

    Because it's a BB board it's first

    Suns:

    Paxson 1993
    Elie 1995
    Bowen 2007

    Mets:

I was spared 1999 as I couldn't stay up long enough for that one
    Sojo 2000
    Molina 2006
last regular season games of 2007-08 combined. Individually they just suck

    Giants:
1997 Fall on the ****ing football Calloway
    2002 38-14
2007 makes the 2 above go away

Re: Too bad there's no General sports thread for this.

Questions like this are usually asked in the OS Neighborhood. If you want, I can move it and give it a title change.

And oh, yeah....**** all the people in your list for the Suns. There are more, too.

      Cool you move that.

BTW what was the 2006 one? The only final second one in that series was the Diaw win

The Raja shot to send it to two OT. Tim Thomas' shot to tie Game 6 against the Lakers and save our season...

The Music City Miracle made me root for the Titans all the way to the super bowl. After they loss by one yard I was devastated. Been a fan since.

              Walter Payton......

and my best friend growing Scott. Me and him used to play as the chicago Bears on Super Tecmo Bowl. We played it over and over all night. He committed suicide a few years ago. I became more of a Bears fan since then.

When I was little, and I mean like 4-5. My uncle taught me how to play sports, like played catch with me and pitched me the wiffle ball. He is a big Cleveland sports fan and had an Indians jersey he always wore. I liked the jersey so I liked the Indians. He also told me to like the Browns and not the Steelers because they steal things. My dad was a cop so I couldn't like anyone who stole lol.

Whoops, I think I misinterpreted the thread.....it's about which moments had you on the verge of tears as a fan of a team...

Oh boy, well....I mean, I could just go on and on and on and on and on and on.

                      Cubs-Marlins NLCS 2003 (or was it 2004?)

that's really the only one I can think of that made me want to cry....there's several where I was quite pissed about the outcome though

Matt Holliday dropping a routine fly ball to clinch a victory this past post-season.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

                          None, it's not that serious.

                            There are 2.

Giants vs. 49'ers several years ago. G-men were up by a ton, and TO scored what was at the time and irrelevant TD. Strahan went up to his face and pointed to the scoreboard. Anyway 49'ers came back and we lost on a botched game winning FG attempt. Worst playoff loss I've experienced as Giants fan.
