Re: How much do you spend on Groceries?

I do my grocery shopping at several places.

I go to one place for my produce, one place for my delicatessan needs, and another place for my proteins...sprinkle in a supermarket for other things i.e.; chips, soda, canned goods.

All told I spend under $175 a month...I usually am buying higher-end product at these places. I'm happy with my budgeting, even though its takes more time and effort to go to all these places.

Single and I spend about $250 a month on groceries. Could be less, but I buy things that I most definitely don't need but absolutely want.

Oh and this includes buying things for the dog.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I'd say I'm about on par with that. I've learned to shop cheap, not to mention gladly taking any food my parents offer when I visit them, lol

Oh I know the feeling. Fresh fish or any kind of sea food out here cost 4 times as much as it did when I lived on the east coast. Wine is high as hell too here, but beer is cheap. Berries....anykind starts off at $3.50 and higher. And thats when its in season LOL.

On the flip side, beef and junk food is cheaper here then it is on the east coast.

Me and the wife hover in the 250 to 300$ range.

Like others have mention I start at outlet reduced cost stores first ( Ollie's which rules, and Big Lots) then the low end gocery store ( Sav-a-lot) then finish at a chain (Food Lion).

Me and my lonesome about $120 without booze and cigarettes. With booze and cigarettes about $250-$300. Stupid taxes.

I'd say $400, by myself. With booze... (I like wine... lol).

I have a wife and two kids (3 and 18-months). Our bill is ~$170 every two weeks (~$350). I'm in the military though, so I get some things a little cheaper on-base.

I have a wife and a son (15 months) and we spend about $300 a month. It's been a lot easier to stick with $300 a month now that my son isn't on formula...that stuff sure added up quick.

Oh, man I remember those days. Formula was no joke. And of course my kids had to have the special lactose free stuff so it cost us even more.

We're almost diaper free too! Can't wait that'll save a bunch too.
