Honestly, was so shocked by it, didn't really kick in. My Wife is not one to go around looking at my text's either. I don't participate in activities that are in question, so I really don't think like that.

Obviously, looking back, it would have helped. It all worked out in the end, but that's why I stay away from that stuff....its never worth it.

And also if they're not real it's ok, because...well...it's not real.

Re: Where do you draw the line when it comes to flirting and having an affair?

I joked about the 3rd time you have sex, but in my honest opinion. You really have to guard your heart and your marriage. The reason I say it is not wise to have a close friend that is a girl is because if you start talking about your marriage problems with them and they confront you it could be tough to not feel something for them after that. I had a good friend had that happen too him. His wife had a good male friend and she would go to him when they had marriage problems. Well long story short she left my friend for that guy and had a kid with him. I think she ended up marrying that guy too. The hardest part is my wife is good friend with that lady, so I was there in the hospital when she gave birth and so was that guy. Now that was very hard to not punch that guy out too that was standing right in front of me.

Simple if your **** gets hard in close proximity to said person then you're either going bail out (dangerously uncomfortably close scenario) or you're going straight in (don't get caught.)

I think when a man pushes aside the idea of his lady so that he can act on "uncertain" urges towards another woman is crossing the line. It's one thing to be friendly, civil and a nice to another woman, but when you purposefully look forward to talking, interacting, even making points to see another woman (even if a by chance walk past at work, place of business, etc) then you've obviously gone too far.

People are not stupid & do know better. To ask a question like this is merely said person trying to gauge how far they can push their limits so that they can justify their wrong-doings to others so as not to look bad when the situation inevitably blows up in their face.

wow that story was deep blue, in that case though on some level you were cool with whether you knew it or not some type of flirting happened. i think as a married man it don't take much to get attention from other single women. primarily because your married and your looked at as one of good guys and they can't get one and that's why they are still single.

I would never knowingly pursue or sleep with a woman who is taken. That goes for whether she is dating or married, it's all the same.

I think every guy likes to have attention and like that women find him attractive. That is where the slippery slope begins.

Emotional "affairs" can be just as, is not more, harmful than physical affairs. Just like a poster above mentioned, when you start talking to another woman about you marriage problems or your personal feelings about other subjects, you really put yourself in a dangerous position. If you are married then those are things you should talk with your wife about, or talk to a man about whether it just be a friend or spiritual advisor. Flirting is rarely innocent. The harm that you will cause your spouse will never be worth that few minutes it took to have your orgasm. You are a human being, not an animal. You can control yourself, you don't have to just go sticking it in anyplace you can.

This isn't at all the case. Just because you're venting to a female does not mean you're cheating on your wife. I have problems with my fiancee and have talked about it to some female acquaintances. Hardly what I call cheating.
