Re: Your brain fart(s) of the day

Yesterday I worked as usual, until 5pm. I thought we would work until 3 or so, but it was a full day. My boss HATES Christmas. It's probably becuase he's divorced and all alone during holidays. The other day we had a conversation about holidays and he said he can't stand it, and Christmas is the worst. He also hates the atmosphere the fuss...every little thing that's connected to the holidays. Poor guy...

I don't know if this qualifies as a brain fart so much as not being fully awake, but often times I'll wake up in the middle of the night, look at my clock, and have no idea what the numbers mean.

I felt like crap when I woke up Wednesday morning. I had a cold so, I decided to take some Dayquil before work. I reached into the medicine cabnet and grabbed a box that looks like this

About 3 hours later I noticed that my cold was a little better but, I felt "weird". When I was at lunch I thought about it more and relized that I had taken 2 Nyquil instead of Dayquil
Needless to say but, it was a very, very long day

I oftentimes freak out a bit when I forget my keys aren't in my pocket while I'm driving. Seriously... this happens enough to be an inside joke between me and my girlfriend.

I was at work (I'm a cook) and peeled a bunch of shrimp, portioned them, and froze them. Then I was reminded by another cook that went to use one of my portions that I didn't de-vein any of them. Since they were frozen, I couldn't thaw them, de-vein them and freeze them again. The cooks are all just stuck de-veining them to order. I will be hated at work for the next couple days, deservedly so.

I guess I was thinking of this thread more like of the off-topic one. Anyway, on topic, I hate it when I'm working on Photoshop, using multiple layers, and then find out that I accidently worked on the same layer for 25 minutes...now go try to seperate it to different layers... God, I hate when it happens!

I'm glad someone brought this up again to remind me of it.

Last week I had a bunch of things in my hand including my iPod deep in the palm of it, and my intent was to trash the other stuff. Well, down went the iPod as well. The next hour I searched for it everywhere, then finally remembered when I last held it. Thankfully, the stuff next to it were napkins and nothing really affected it, but it did kind of stink for a while. It doesn't anymore, thank goodness (I'm talking about the iPod, not the brain fart).

One time I was searching all over for a certain pair of boxers. At one point during the search I open the fridge and stare into it for a couple minutes. I then thought to myself "Why am I looking in the fridge for boxers??"

That reminds me of finding my roommates car keys in the fridge. She had no idea how they got there and wasn't drunk or under any mind altering influence. I've found the Dish remote in there before too.

When I eat cereal early in the morning I often take the milk to the pantry or try and put the cereal in the fridge.

One time I was looking for my keys one day and I was looking for about twenty minutes. I finally ask my wife and she said they were in my hands. Felt totally stupid.
