This is her second marriage as well.

I can't believe at 43 I'm married to a woman who has a better body than any girl I dated in college. She's a freak of nature. High metabolism and one workout a week yields amazing results, whereas I have to kill myself in the gym.

Yes, yes I did. And you know what? Totally worth it.

What a great story. I've never really gotten terribly involved in any forums that I frequent, and this one's really no exception. I'm on OS every day, several times a day, but rarely post. I know I've had times in the past where I've been on one of the game forums and thought that things were, let's say, a little "harsh" around here, as far as bannings, thread closings, etc. (To which I'll add, I know there are reasons for this, etc.) In fact, I did help with the OSFM rosters this year for several teams, so really, I've been more active on OS than any other forum I visit. And with that experience, I did get to know some of the other guys that helped too. Definitely worth it.

But man... the OS community really shone through here. And it was great to see that this story was legit, and so far has turned out wonderfully for this man. So much other crap going on in this world, so many stories of people being selfish, forsaking family and kids, like his ex did. (I have an aunt that has done the same thing... it's really changed everyone's perception of her, too). It's just incredibly refreshing to see something good happen to a good, honest, hard-working guy, who did nothing to deserve the crap that was showered upon him, persevered, did things the right way, and wound up better off for it all.

Kudos to Gary, and kudos to all of you that did your part. Whether it was offering simple words of encouragement, or those of you that chipped in to bring a little enjoyment (The Show) to someone who could really use even the smallest peaks of happiness in a very dark time.

Really.... I could not be more impressed with so much about this thread. And now, so much about the OS community. Perhaps I should re-think the "just browse the forums, not getting very active as far as post count goes" in the case of this place.

Emotional, psychological, financial, and family turmoil, and you turned it all around with time and perseverance. I wont comment on your ex, but you sir are great!

I was late to the party but I was choked up reading some of the things you and your girls went through. And you did a complete 180 in every sense. Your girls will love you eternally for it.

I can't say how honored I feel to receive all your kind words. I don't think I'm deserving of all the good things in my life, but I'll sure take them! I can tell you not one day goes by that I don't get on my knees and say a prayer of thanks for all the blessings.

Controlling my temper is probably the number one reason I'm where I am now. It seems I should have been allowed to wreak vengeance on the fellow who brought such destruction to my kids and me, but had I touched him I would have gotten in a lot of trouble and would have lost any chance of custody of my girls. Believe me, I have wished to be living in the 1800s many times over the last couple of years. A little frontier justice would have been nice.

Now I have to get used to being with a woman who gets looks everywhere we go. I view it as a compliment so long as nobody makes it too obvious or is rude.

I haven't told her about the thread. There may be things here she wouldn't want to read.
