I can't say how honored I feel to receive all your kind words. I don't think I'm deserving of all the good things in my life, but I'll sure take them! I can tell you not one day goes by that I don't get on my knees and say a prayer of thanks for all the blessings.

Controlling my temper is probably the number one reason I'm where I am now. It seems I should have been allowed to wreak vengeance on the fellow who brought such destruction to my kids and me, but had I touched him I would have gotten in a lot of trouble and would have lost any chance of custody of my girls. Believe me, I have wished to be living in the 1800s many times over the last couple of years. A little frontier justice would have been nice.

Now I have to get used to being with a woman who gets looks everywhere we go. I view it as a compliment so long as nobody makes it too obvious or is rude.

I haven't told her about the thread. There may be things here she wouldn't want to read.

You should kill the guy with kindness. Send him a thank you letter with a $20 gas cards.

Re the "paying it forward", bro, you already have. By being a kind and loving father to your children and by ensuring they don't grow up into severely scarred people. Not to mention, this whole experience in the end had you end up with a major upgrade both personally and physically *BTW, there is no way your wife is any older than 28. No way. Check the birth certificate*.

Seriously though, Gary, great job by being so resilient and never giving up. A lot of guys in your situation would not have fought to keep their children, instead letting them go to the worse household for financial reasons. It could have been really difficult for you to just give up. But you never did. Bro, you should seriously do some public speaking, because that resiliency is not common at all.

BTW, very proud of OS. I only wish I would have picked up on this earlier. My bros here offered great advice and so proud of the guys here by making that gesture. Absolutely awesome and is a reason I love this community so much.

I just want to update and say my wife and I recently celebrated 3 years of marriage. It has been rocky at times, but she's a good woman and we've always pulled through.

I still have The Show 10, which a few of you guys pitched in and got me when I was down and out. I'm working on an idea to frame it and display the game in my classroom in some sort of cool/artsy display.

I will always appreciate what you guys did for me.
