Exactly why I say this world is brainwashed. Tricked us into believing that killing animals was actually a good thing that benefits mankind, but not stating the fact that people live more healthier and longer when they DO NOT EAT animals, Where I was brought up I was taught to respect animals as much as I would respect a human, But most of the world does not think that way.

And yes I can turn that around because if an animal went wild and attacked you, you would say how evil and crazy it was but not realizing you are doing the same thing everyday.

And yes Im a Vegeterian and an avid fighter for Animal rights.

According to a study carried out by the Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (German Cancer Research Center), vegetarians have a dramatically lowered mortality risk. 100 deaths to be statistically expected in the age group of study participants are matched by only 59 real deaths in vegetarians. Looking at male participants only, the positive effect - with only 52 actual deaths - is even more pronounced.
C. 1900 vegetarians participate in the study carried out since 1978 under the direction of associate professor Dr. Jenny Chang-Claude. The scientists divided the participants into three different dietary groups. A small group - 60 participants - has declared to abstain not only from meat but also from other animal foodstuffs such as milk or eggs (vegans). Two thirds of study partipants do eat eggs and dairy products while avoiding meat (ovo-lacto vegetarians), and roughly one third state to occasionally consume small servings of meat or fish (moderate vegetarians).
Comparing these three categories, occasional meat consumers seem to have opted for the healthiest diet, i.e. the observed lowered mortality risk cannot be attributed to complete abstention from meat and fish.

In addition to nutritional factors, the study also records other lifestyle elements such as smoking or physical activity: as expected, smoking increases mortality risk by an average 70 percent. Those participating who declare their physical activity to be medium to high can rejoice: compared to "exercise haters", their mortality risk is lowered by one third.

statistics do NOT tell the whole story.

Most people, maybe 99 in 100 that are vegetarians are very very health conscious. They exercise properly, they eat in moderation and THAT is what makes them live longer. Not the fact that they eat veggies.

On the meat eater-side , a lot more percentage are undisciplined about their diet, they over-eat , lack of exercise, eat meat too much and have an unbalanced diet. THAT is why they live shorter.

It's not as black and white and you put it. Meats are not unhealthy, eating too much of it and no exercise are.

if you eat meat in moderation, take its proteins, exercise properly, it can be as healthy or even healthier when compared to an exclusive vegetarian diet.
