According to Fox Sports he's suspended for 2 weeks (unless that's already known then n/m)

As for the outfit, i've seen Storm wear worse then that in terms of "wow that's not exactly professional attire". That outfit though is just offensive to the eyes, bad colors and all that.

Anyways Kornheiser is paid to be a bit of a caustic wiseass so I don't find it surprising that he said what he said. Hell, he could've been even more biting in his commentary. ESPN suspending him for those comments is just overprotecting the brand IMO. I'm glad my favorite radio host hasn't sold his soul to work for ESPN or any of the other US sports radio outfits as he'd be in a lot of hot water. He blasts EVERYONE. Hell, he makes fun of one of his weekly guests who is foisted on him due to them both working for Rogers but it always ends up being good radio and they're both pretty cool with each other. (it's mostly bluster and an act)

Anyways Kornheiser shouldn't have been forced to apologize for simply telling the TRUTH. I bet if he said that about someone from NBC or another network ESPN wouldn't even blink an eye about it.

yeah, i agree! that outfit is so loud i can hear it in England! i used to get to watch PTI on an american sports channel we got on cable, but it's come and gone, so i no longer get the opportunity to see the penguin dance or the bear trampoline or anything! sucks!

still......too short a ban for a 'BRING BACK KORNHEISER' campaign?!?!

Freedom of speech! Tony should be allowed to say that. It's not like Imus, even though I don't think he should have been fired, Hannah Storm is an adult. If she was offended by that, she's a little to sensitive IMO. He's just trying to be funny, that's what he does. He's a dope.

A friend of mine used to tell me, "you can be so right, you're wrong..."

Tony did nothing wrong... BUT, we live in a politically correct world today, where things like this just can't be said. I think his "2 week slap on the wrist" shows that ESPN HAD to do something about this, but it's nothing in the big picture of things.

I have no problem with what she wore, though I'd never get caught dead in it...however, I'm not a cross-dresser either.

I don't either but then again it's not really cool to air out your co-worker like that while the cameras are running even though he clowns Berman. I think she complained to the higher-ups.

I do think that outift was worthy of getting called out though.

If you or I were to go around our place of work blasting a co-workers choice of attire, do you think management would just let it slide?

That's my point...I can't go saying stuff like that about Suzy in Accounting, it's just not something you do. Have some respect for your co-workers and don't blast them on public airwaves. What's gained by him blasting her like this?

We aren't talking about a couple of guys standing around the water cooler making snarky comments here. Kornheiser's comment went out over the public airwaves, where it was heard by (at the minimum) tens of thousands of people.

You don't rip on a co-worker in public, ever. It's unprofessional, rude and just plain way the hell out of line. If I was his boss he would be looking at a lot more than a two week suspension.

Plus Kornheiser didn't really sound "joking" either...i heard the clip on the radio this morning and just sounded mean and spiteful.

There's absolutely no reason for him to say that on the radio. Going "off topic" is one thing, but it's just not appropriate.

This wasn't 2 guys at the water cooler talking about how Suzy was wearing f-me boots at work today, it's a guy on national radio essentially calling his co-worker a whore.
