We aren't talking about a couple of guys standing around the water cooler making snarky comments here. Kornheiser's comment went out over the public airwaves, where it was heard by (at the minimum) tens of thousands of people.

You don't rip on a co-worker in public, ever. It's unprofessional, rude and just plain way the hell out of line. If I was his boss he would be looking at a lot more than a two week suspension.

Couldn't possibly disagree with you more, but whatever. I don't see the big deal. It is entertainment, I doubt he has a problem with the chick personally. Agree to disagree I guess.

Storm's outfit is basically the equivalent of a female mid life crisis. None the less, TKorn should not being running his mouth like that (on air at least) about other anchors. It's unprofessional at best.

Charles Barkley & Kenny Smith always talk about Sager's suits and his shoes (anyone who watched All-Star Weekend knows exactly what I'm talking about). What's so different?

There it's a bunch of friends joking, you can tell the tone, and they're all there to give back and forth ribbing.

Hannah wasn't on Tony's show, and his comments seemed very mean and biting, not joking at all.

Short answer-Sager is in on the joke.

Horrible suits have been part of Sager's schtick for years, as has been having Barkley and co. criticisize his fashion sense. It's pretty much expected at this point.

Craig Sager is in on the joke so it's part of the the show. He seems to have no issues with it since he know about it ahead of time and it's gone on for years.

Tony Kornheiser called out Hanna Storm and then Chris Berman publicly when they aren't associated with the show in any way. With Berman your talking about a product he indorses.

Tony was in the wrong here, and should have known better.

Of course they wouldn't let it slide but Storm is in the public eye so it's something to be expected. It's a hazard of the occupation.

however

Plus Kornheiser didn't really sound "joking" either...i heard the clip on the radio this morning and just sounded mean and spiteful.

I haven't heard the audio clip but if your characterization of how it sounded is true then I have to give some serious reconsideration on my earlier stance. If you're saying it in a joking manner that's borderline bad but if it's going to be spiteful and totally mean then that's crossing the line.

probably not on the air, but this is part of the reason why Erin Andrews got stalked, and there have been numerous sexual harassment problems at ESPN. Many of these women anchors and reporters are there largely for their looks, and ESPN goes out of their way to flaunt their sex appeal.

She can be the most professional and talented anchor on their staff, but when I see her wearing a skirt and boots, and sitting in a high stool interviewing someone, I want to throw my couch through the TV. She's like 48 or whatever, and her image is obviously crafted by ESPN. Just sit behind the damn desk and show highlights.

I'm assuming the Greenberg thing he is talking about is the MLK slip-up. Which was just a simple mistake. There was no malicious intent there, just like with Tony. When was the last time you saw Tony on TV being serious? I mean when he isn't talking about American Idol or Ice skating.

Jacobson got wasted at some Mike and Mike event. She ripped on ND football while she was drinking Vodka right from the bottle in front of everyone. She got a one week suspension.
