They weren't thinking obviously.
There's a fine line between being cool with/to your students and acting like idiots. They obviously crossed that line.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

This is nothing that these kids haven't seen before. Do I agree with it, no. They did cross a line, but it's not like half of these kids don't do that on the weekends anyways.
I'm surprised nobody was arrested.Comment

So if this was done at an elementary school you would be ok with it? Pretty sure they've seen stuff like this aswell.AKA DEEJAY8595Comment

I can't imagine caring too much. Now, if the teachers were forcing the kids to do it, I'd take issue, but that did not occur.Comment

Yeah I can see your point. It's nothing that they should be fired over but at the very least there needs to be some kind of sanctions of some kind. I think a couple months suspension with pay would be a good enough measure.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I dont see too much of a problem with it because its like Well said its nothing they havent seen before. But I get why they were suspended b/c they are still people of authority, bad decision on their part.Comment

A high-school student should understand that. If they don't, or if they haven't seen something like this by now, well, it's time to get out of that bubble and see the real world.Comment

Re: Teachers giving each other lap dances at pep rally?
Not the right thing to do, but it's high school. These kids probably do this stuff to each other every Friday night. lol. But, these are teachers. Clearly not a good decision, but nothing that they should get arrested/charged or even fired over. Suspended for a couple weeks would be fine.Indianapolis Colts

If these were students acting like this you know there would be severe consequences. I don't think what these teachers did was appropriate either. I'm glad for these two school's going to be out indefinitely.Oklahoma State Cowboys 2011 Big XII Champions, 2012 Fiesta Bowl Champions

I can easily say that while in my school district, had this happen, you'd probably be suspended til the end of the year and your contract wouldn't be renewed. Especially considering the money crunch SC is in...you have to be doing your job well just to keep it.
How can you hold kids to a higher standard when the teachers are simulating lap dances? Teaching and motivating kids is tough enough as it is.Comment
