2010. The year we are in does not matter. Teachers are supposed to act professional and lead by example. Doesn't matter what year we are in.

You must never be around kids 14-18 yrs old. They are some of the most ******** individuals on the planet and behavior like this doesn't help.

Actually, it's nothing like this....at all.

They go as far as taking pictures, having their daughters hike up their dresses to get a picture of the garter and even allow them to head to the hotel for the after prom party. Seriously, I thought some girls were gonna get pregnant at some of the dances that I have supervised.
Thats between the parents and students. Teachers are payed to teach, not act like fools.

So your saying if a male student simulating going down on a girl in a pep rally in front of the whole school at the pep rally nothing would happen? Ok.

And what does the parents have to do with anything here? What the parents allow their children to do while taking pictures or after prom has nothing to do with whats going on here. These teachers are being paid to teach these students not act like them on Prom night. Thats whats wrong here. Wrong place to do that.

And the parents should be upset at these teachers. High School students are young and stupid and will make mistakes, I think the parents like everyone else would expect the Teachers to act a little more mature then their 16 year old kid.

Man if I had a 13 or 14 year old daughter at this pep rally, you can bet I'd be one of the parents calling for the teachers getting fired.

Not that we should pretend that kids don't see this stuff, but we don't need people who should be considered leaders and influential people in the community and role models to children to be doing mock cunnilingus at half court in front of the student body.

Just because kids watch porn doesn't mean their teachers should be allowed to hump each other. At some point a line needs to be drawn, regardless of what our society is beginning to view as acceptable

I can't speak for every school district in this country but I can tell you what I've experienced. When I was doing my student teaching I personally witnessed a student go up and grind on the principal during a prom fashion show. Also during that fashion show several students decided to do their daily grind session or what not. The students were punished....with a detention. The parents complained and the punishments were lifted. In fact, there were parents present at the show taking pictures.

In essence, teachers are paid to teach. Yes, however, the issues that teachers face with their students, far outweighs the statement that teachers are paid to teach. Fine, we will just teach. We will not help put food on the table for kids, help buy them school supplies, help buy them clothes, take them home from conferences, etc.

I brought up the extra stuff because people were stating that these kids shouldn't be seeing things like this blah blah well, they're already doing it. They've already been corrupted etc. Like I said, it doesn't excuse the behavior of these teachers. Let's judge these teachers on what they do in the classroom not for 2 minute lack of judgement. If what is going on in the classroom is a detriment then we have a major problem. Youth is no excuse for making mistakes. It doesn't matter how old you are, at some point you're going to make some mistakes in your life.
