I'll admit to being in that boat too, I came over here when OS had tons of screens of NCAA 2002 back in 2001. And I used to only post in the Madden, NCAA and Pro/College Football forums and now I pretty much post in this forum and the Non-Sports Gaming one. The Madden Forums for me became a No Man's Land a long time ago and I've pretty much lost interest in playing NCAA.

Sports games are what brought me here but not at all what keeps me here.

This is me in a nutshell.

It's more about community for me then anything else. I've tried being an active part of other forums but I just can't for some reason. I guess this'll always be my E-Home.

I guess I don't get the whole debating video games thing. At the end of the days it's YOUR money so it makes no sense in me telling you that you made a bad decision. As they say, "I don't have a dog in the fight."

GAMEC0CK2002 - perhaps it's a need to justify one's self or in other cases, for espousing hatred toward somethign else (in a lot of cases it's EA for example). people often feel a need to vent and often times it's toward the games it seems, even if the game isn't the real issue in their life.

I've been on this site for awhile. I used to be a lurker for years, have only been posting for a few, but I've seen just about everything this site has gone through.

I definitly miss some of the stuff this site had when I first joined, but IMO the stuff that has been added has helped make it a better overall site. Maybe not as "homey" or what have you as before, but I truly think OS is a better site than it was 4-5 years ago.

There's no denying that, the community has definitely changed, but I suppose that's what comes with increased traffic.

Why? Because my real close friends don't give a **** or know about sports or other things as much as some of the guys who post on this board. I need to find an outlet somewhere.

You guys have become like family in my (almost) nine years here. Joined around the summer of 2001. It's been a long time, but I'm proud to have made what I consider good friends here.

The line between real-life and internet has been blurred over the course of the last few years. I feel no shame in saying that I have a lot of friends "over the internet". People that, hell, I might even relate better to than my "real-world" friends.

i've been off and on here for years,under different names not because i was banned i couldn't remember what my username or password was (too stoned usually). I found home on MM way back. through all the different servers and losing everybody usernames and stuff. then i came over hear as it started getting crazy over there. i didn't really like it at first. it seemed like there were alot of young cats just putting up crazy stuff. but in the last two years its alot better.
