    Duuudddeeee

Eat at the absolute minimal of 1500 calories. You are not eating enough.

Eat every 2 hours in smaller meals. About 6 meals a day 250-350 calories

EDIT: But do what you feels right...I hate when people tell me what to do.

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in

Trust me, I'm eating enough. Why? Two reasons. First, I think I undercount calories. My doctor said that there is no way I could be counting calories 100% right. It doesn't help that often restaurants and labels are simply wrong. Secondly, I tried the strategy of eating small meals every couple of hours and it doesn't work at all for me because it causes me to focus so much on food. Plus, I find myself eating when i'm not hungry.

So I'm going back to the old school way of thin people everywhere. I'm only eating when I feel like I'm beginning to get hungry. It's basically trying to get back into touch with my body and not focusing so much on calories. Yes I do count calories, but only to ensure I don't go over. Otherwise I don't focus on constant meals and rationing out everything on a plan.

I know it makes no sense because nearly every weight loss book says to eat multiple times, smaller meals, but I guess each person has to figure out what works for them. In general I'm doing 3 small to medium meals a day with occasional snacks. And like I said, even though I'm shooting for 1000 to 1200 calories my doctor believes I'm actually getting about 1500.

The whole 5 or 6 small meals a day doesn't work for me either. Like you ODogg, I just end up eating small meals when I'm not even hungry.

Project - I will have to view your pics later at home as I can't see the pics using the work skin.

Sting - yeah man, that just doesn't work for some folks. Plus I've discussed it with my doctor and he said that many overweight people don't handle eating multiple small meals well, they usually have too much to eat simply because they don't truly have a SMALL meal.

It just works easier for me, in my head, to do 3 meals and 1 to 2 snacks, only eating when i'm starting to get hungry, which really in the end works out to about the same thing..

Well I did 2.3 miles on the elliptical, 35 minutes @ heart rate of 127, total calories burnt: 422. I am trying to stay in the fat burning zone because per my trainer just going hard (a heart rate of 155-170) is not conducive to weight loss. I know I was still drenched when I was done despite not going as hard as I could...

I had my lunch and I'm pretty full. The fish and the vegetables were great. As well as they better be, they have to carry me until 8pm tonight after fat club ends. I can't really eat before then or it will affect my weight.

I want to believe that. For so many reasons.

But the research done having to do with different exercise intensities just does not show that to be true.

The more calories you burn, the more you lose.

Not drinking beer and eating better. I'm definitely not "obese" by any means, just trying to lose about 15 pounds.

TMagic - I actually prefer to work out as hard as I can, so I don't really like holding a lowered heart rate like that...and it makes no sense to me either. I mean how can you say that if you do 30 minutes of intense exercise and burn 500 calories that is not better than doing 30 minutes of moderately stressful exercise and burning 400 calories?

He said it was something about your body starts burning other tissue than fat cells. Kind of like, I guess, it just starts throwing everything it can into the "fire" that is going because you're demanding so much of it.

I guess i'll just try to do a little bit of both, but I tend to do want to go as hard as I can, I feel better about the workout than just giving 90%.

fishpae - yeah I did the math and if you're going to drink to get drunk it's much better to do regular beer over light beer.

It takes me about 15 light beers in a night to get properly drunk, so that's 1500 calories. But only about 8 regular beers which equals 1150 calories. So yeah, i'm done with light beer.
