Update: My wife is acting cool this morning so everything is going to be alright. She knows that when I make up my mind I'm not going to change it. I booted my ex off of my facebook friends list last night which made my wife really ill. She said you've put me in a difficult spot that I'm going to have to explain. LOL Man's got to do what a man's got to do!

Sounds like the way to go, a few minutes of pain now likely saves you hours of agony later.

That's why I don't believe in being friends with a women you slept with. It's always going to feel like that. It's an old chapter in your life that should be closed, but that's just my opinion

I dunno, you're still referring to a girl you dated 14 years ago as your "ex girlfriend". Seems like there might be unresolved issues on your end as well.

I think the way you handled it is pretty immature considering your wife has been friends with her for so long and obviously wants to continue their friendship. The fact that your wife got pissed makes me think you're exaggerating the tension a little bit. You don't have to be best friends with her but there's no reason you shouldn't be able to hang out as a group and act civil towards each other.

I respect your opinion. I don't care how long ago it was that we broke up she is still an ex girlfriend, and just for information we were together for a very long time. I have been very civil towards my ex girlfriend, and her husband. However, it is obvious that my ex still has an axe to grind after many years, and I don't have to put up with her bull**** so I have chosen to spend my time doing something more interesting like flying a kite in a thunderstorm. I will never stop my wife from calling, or going to see her friend. If me choosing not to hang out with my ex, and her husband effects my wife's, and ex girlfriend's long time friendship they didn't have much of a friendship to start with! If I have handled this in an immature fashion then so be it. I enjoy the thought of not having to waste anymore time being around the bitch.
