    Re: 6.9 earthquake

I felt it all the way up in Seal Beach.
I was on the couch with my brother who was sleeping, then the couch started swaying and I just thought he was waking up.

Then next thing you know we stand up and are just like, "yup its an earthquake"

Lasted about 30 sec for us, but again, we were a good 100 miles from where it was centered so thats quite an impact

I was driving and thought the engine of the car was pulling on it a little bit while we were sitting at a red light.

I figured it was an earthquake though and kinda blew it off and went on my way. Go figure..I've definitely felt much worse

We were up in Temecula visiting friends and even all the way up there it was pretty strong. Lasted a lot longer than most of the quakes I have been in.

I was online during the quake and I started posting on facebook as it was happening prolly not the greatest thing to be doing.

I was also asking my lil cousin if he could feel it but he was like "yeah yeah man I can, I'm playing COD dont bother me" Had me cracking up. And while I was doing this I'm on the phone with another cousin and we had one of the Dragonball Z "can you feel that" moments haha!!

The quake wasnt that bad in my area it shook the house a bit but wasnt large enough to make anything fall over. Was just one of those quakes that you feel but its not something to be too alarmed about.

                Re: 6.9 earthquake

Yeah, the t.v. When it started I just thought it wasn't going to be much, so I got up from my computer because we have the LCD on sort of a narrow stand, but when I held onto it, the quake really struck, so I just held on with my poor wife screaming and holding me around the waist.

It's been calm the past two hours, but honestly, I have no idea how the house held together, it was that bad. Mexicali has had a lot of damage, but still no phone contact. 100 people injured and 2 dead (city of about 900,000).

Yeah I didn't think it was ever going to end. My little cousins were in the swimming pool when it happened, luckily they got out in time.

I was in an airport terminal when this hit. Not that I felt it because I was in Northern California, but I went back to my dorm room which is seven floors up, and my room definitely felt it.

I wish I took a picture of it, because my whole home theater set up looked... not set up. I might have damaged my rear right surround speaker, but I'm not testing it with anything tonight. My TV somehow ate **** on the ground but still works perfectly, thank goodness.

Pretty ****in' crazy. We "felt" it in LA. I was at my Uncle's house for Easter and we were all outside hangin' out, kicking the soccer ball around with the kids and whatnot, and my uncle and Dad started yelling EARTHQUAKE. At first I was like "Uh, what the **** are you guys talking about?". I didn't feel ANY shaking outside, but it was crazy because the pool water started to sway back and forth for a good while and a lot of it started to shake out, and my uncle's dog was running around concerned. They had a chandelier outside and that was swaying as well. Inside they have these crazy "jellyfish" light fixture thingies hanging that go from the top of the house to the basement and those were swinging for about an hour.

                        **** this region.

I just felt another quake (or aftershock?) last night around 4:30 AM PST. Since the other one shifted all of my furniture around and what not, this one wasn't quite as big. But it scared the crap out of me being on the seventh floor. It went on for a good 40 seconds or so. Pretty freaky.

Aftershocks all night. The border is closed with Mexico, guess they don't want people going down there right now. I hear there's a lot of damage. Still no contact with my wife's family.
