Sooooo I locked my keys in the car.

Yea so I just got home from a friends birthday. I didn't know how to get to her house so I let my boy drive. When we left I also let him drive back. Now heres the annoying part. Right after I locked my door an close it he asks me did you grab the keys. Obviously I didn't and he didn't either. If YOUR driving why would you not grab the keys out of the ignition??? Thankfully the car is fully off but my keys are still stuck.

Now I don't have a spare key because I just bought the car. My boy said he got confused because he has his keys hanging around his neck and he thought it was my keys. Well I have my mechanic coming over tomorrow morning to get my keys out because I don't have anything to get it out with.

I learned a few lessons from this and I'm not really angry, I actually find it funny but I was slightly annoyed. So has anyone else ever locked their keys in the car before?

You know you can call the cops for that. lol. You could've gotten your keys out within 15 minutes. I locked my keys in my car at a friends house a couple years ago. Didn't have a spare key and didn't know what to do. I had to get home somehow and it was like 3 in the morning too so we had no one to call. He told me to call the police. I did. They came by like 10 minutes later and used some tool to unlock it.

I hate locking my keys in my car accidentally. So annoying. I've done it on several other occasions since then, but fortunately after the 1st incident I was smart enough to get a spare key.

I also have only one key. But I lock my car with the remote controller, so I must have the key in my hand to lock it. Still, I check like 3 times that I have the key and put it in my pocket right away. It's a good habit, in my opinion.

I do the same. I've had my car for 2 1/2 years and haven't locked my keys in my car once.

Yea I would have but I'm actually at home and I don't have anything of importance to do tomorrow so ima just wait till tomorrow morning. Rather not go through the trouble of calling the cops for that. They probably have better things to do lol.

Yea i got an old 92 prelude (I love it) no power locks unfortunately. I plan on installing power locks so I can also use a remote controller. Makes things wayyy more convenient. It's annoying that every time I get in the car I have to reach over an unlock the passenger side for people to get in.

Honestly I thought about it lol, but I already put over $1000 into this car a week after I got it. I was hoping I left my sun roof open so I could try an reach for the locks but unfortunately it wasn't.
