My girlfriend takes the 1 from West 4th to Times Square for work every day.

Then it would have been like in those attacks in London a couple of years ago, except for those bus attacks. I'm glad it didn't happen. And thank god these kind of plans doesn't happen very often.

Scary stuff. They are always plotting to attack us and we have to stop them everytime and they only have to get lucky once to succeed. Thank God this didn't happen.

That would've indeed be scary. I've been through Grand Central that's a HUGE place so I imagine it would be tough to keep an eye on EVERYTHING.

When I'm there, I usually walk from Times Square down 42nd st to Grand Central.

There needs to be a lot more controls put in place, but that will turn into a political discussion, so I won't mention them. We shouldn't allow the enemy free reign to come into the country and attack us.

It doesn't matter if they stop them from coming in. You're still gonna have people like that Jihad Jane running around. So it isn't gonna stop anything.

You don't just block them from coming in, you also have to filter internet access, communications, etc. You can't realistically do it and it infringes on too many freedoms, but you could stop most of it.

I pass either 1 or both of those stations on my way to work & on the home from work via the 2 Train or the 5 Train. Very disturbing to hear..

You do that and you undermine the very thing you're attempting to protect, if you really think about it.
