I let my friend borrow my PS2 and we honestly still crank out some MVP 2005 baseball whenever I'm over there. Unfortunately, I haven't cared enough to find the memory card that has my 2007 rosters so I'm stuck with one heckuva rotten Tigers rotation (Nate Cornejo!).

The PS2 still has some solid value. It was frustrating when I still had it as my sole system around 2006 and anytime I was looking for advice on a 2K game or something I'd just get "Here's your solution, buy a 360" as a response.

NHL 2k5: 1 season
NHL 2k6: 2 seasons
NHL 2k7: 8 seasons
NHL 2k10: 1 season (and counting)

MVP 03: 2 seasons
MVP 04: 1 season
MVP 05: 5 seasons
MVP NCAA 06: 1 season (and counting)
MLB 09: 1 season (and counting)

Madden 04: 3 seasons
Madden 05: 7 seasons
Madden 06: 7 seasons
NFL 2k5: 2 seasons (and counting)
APF 2k8: 1 season (and counting)
Madden 10: 2 seasons (and counting)

Solid. I played NHL 2k7, MVP 05, and Madden 06 the longest. Upgraded to PS3 Jan. 09 and am working through Madden 10, MLB 09, NHL 2k10, and APF 2k8. Still play NFL 2k5 and MVP 06 (a little bit of 05 as well).

Oh I use to hate that crap. Or when I use to look for sliders for 2k8 and find out the PS2 was missing 5 or 6 sliders that the next gen systems had and people on here use to say well that's what you get for having a PS2 still.

What made me make the switch permanently was when I found out college hoops 2k8 didn't have coach mode for the PS2 version. That was the last straw for me.

Well, 360 owners got pissed as well, so don't worry. I'm sure every 360 owner who got the red light (and there's so many of them), would get the "Here's your solution, buy a PS3".
