Once every month. I shave the back of my neck every week or so to keep it looking clean in between haircuts.

I sport a shaved head and own my own clippers (three sets actually) so whenever I feel the need. And it's free.

I let me hair grow out for well over a year once.

But for the past 2 years I've been going once a month. $14 plus $4 tip, not bad once a month. Plus I have clippers at home so I can take care of my sideburns and do some grooming inbetween cuts. Don't really trust myself to do the whole thing yet.


By the way is there anything worse than losing your regular barber? I was going to a guy for 6 months straight, and he was giving me the best cuts of my life, It got to where I wouldnt even have to describe to him what I wanted. Then one day I went in and he didnt work there anymore. I was pissed I didn't ask him for his # so I could hit him up at home or something.

I'm the same in that once the weather gets colder(late November-February)then that's when I'll go a few weeks or even a month for that matter between trips and just rock the "playoff beard" during that time of the year lol.

Every 2-3 weeks, it really depends...

Sometimes I'll get a shape up, then 2 weeks later I'll get a full hair cut..

In the winter, I might even go a whole month without a hair cut..

oh and I had 1 barber in the last 15 or so years, I'm very picky when it comes to my hair, so I don't think I would ever cut my own head lol

now that i got a flatop fade going, early 90's style, i gotta do it every 3-4 weeks to keep it going.

Costs me 10, I always give 15.

I think if you are white you can definitely get away with not cutting for a few months. Being black, you gotta get the whole deal going with the lineup, the fades, the neck hair,the sideburns and all that jazz.

At least that's my view on it. My caucasian friends can go a year without cutting and it looks cool with that slick back look with a bit of styling gel.

I think if you are white you can definitely get away with not cutting for a few months. Being black, you gotta get the whole deal going with the lineup, the fades, the neck hair,the sideburns and all that jazz.

At least that's my view on it. My caucasian friends can go a year without cutting and it looks cool with that slick back look with a bit of styling gel.

That's what I was going to say. A lot of it depends on your genetics.

Shave my head in the shower every 3-4 days to stay extra clean

I get a shape up every 2 weeks, but since i got that fast growing spanish hair I cut it my self every week. I do a 0 all around or sometimes a 1 all around. I like it lowww easier to manage. Its not hard at all to learn how to cut your own hair, but when I cut my black friends I have to do it a certain way to keep their waves looking clean. Only reason why I don't shape myself up is because it's just to hard to see an I might mess up.

I cut my own hair, and have been cutting it since I was about 15 years old. The beginning years were rough, but fortunately, I wasn't teased. I guess I didn't do that poor a job, but when I go and look at some old photos of me, I cringe at my lining/shape-up.

I cut mine every two weeks. I got a process...I'll cut my hair, line it up and shave with a razor leaving only the beard and goatee. After a week, I just shape up my head and line up the beard that has begun to grow back. Once another week passes, I'm back to step one.

The only time I ever go to a barber is when I'm lazy, or I have a mental lapse and mess my head up, so I have them fix my mistake. I'm hesitant about barbers though because they like to take your hairline back

I go about once a month during the winter and every 2-3 weeks in spring, summer, and fall.

I'm Caucasian but as I said, my hair is very curly and gets quite unruly when it gets long. There's a picture of me when I was 3-4 years old and I guess I was in a phase where I didn't want to get my haircut so it was really long and looked like I had an afro
