I hate Bikers!!
Okay, before I get started I do not hate motorcyclists. Its bicyclists that I cant stand. Thanks Lance Armstong for starting this debacle. It seems everytime I blink I have some stupid bicyclist slowing me down from 55 to 5 mph and not giving me any room to pass. They also love to cut out in front of me and make me slam the breaks. God, I hate bicyclists!! Them and their stupid tight pants and stupid helmet, smiling because they know I cant pass them. Its called parks!! Bicycle in that for god sakes.

Re: I hate Bikers!!
I have a lot of problems with this post. First of all, I find it hard to believe that you get slowed down from 55 to 5. A. I have never seen a biker ride on a road where the speed limit is 55. and B. I can walk 5 mph so there's no way a biker would be going that slow especially on a road where the speed limit is 55. So you're either lying there or hugely exaggerating. Bicyclists are typically going fairly fast(25+ mph). Second of all, I've never seen a biker cut out in front of me or not let me pass. I've also never seen one that was smiling at me because "he knows I can't pass him". So you're either lying or hugely exaggerating again. Also, maybe bicycling is the norm where you live, but I don't encounter that many. Maybe 3 or 4 in a month span, if that.
Now that that's out of the way, the only times I get a little frustrating with them is when they're riding on the main road when there's a sidewalk or trail right there along side the road. Why not ride on that? Other than that, though, no real issues. I just pass them and go about my day(and again, I've never seen one cut in front of me so I can't pass him, or one that smiles at me because "he knows I can't pass him". Maybe you just have some evil bicyclists where you live).
I don't have a problem with them and I can't see anyone else having a huge problem with them either. I applaud them for going out on a sunny day and getting some great exercise in(considering how many lazy and obese people we have in this country).Indianapolis Colts

Maybe I exagerrated a little bit there. But sometimes I go 20 max.
A. I have never seen a biker ride on a road where the speed limit is 55.
There you are wrong. The statewide speedlimit in my state is 55 unless otherwise posted. And guess what? Its 55 where I live.
B. I can walk 5 mph so there's no way a biker would be going that slow especially on a road where the speed limit is 55.
Already said that earlier.

[b]Just because you havent seen it means I am lying. Maybe bicyclists where I live are just ***holes.

More than that where I live. I encounter 3 or 4 at one time. Sometimes up to 10.

I agree that they are evil. Most of the time though, it is illegal to bike on a sidewalk.

Yea, but do it away from me. Thats what they have bike trails for.Comment

Re: I hate Bikers!!
I had no idea it was illegal to bike on sidewalks. I guess that's why they're called sidewalks. lol. Although I don't drive on driveways or park on parkways so who knows.
Anyway, not going to comment on anything else. Wasn't really trying to pick an argument with you. Just commenting on it. As I said, though, maybe you just have some evil bikers where you live. lol.Indianapolis Colts

Re: I hate Bikers!!
LOL where I live we don't have that problem. Speed limit is 40mph on the main roads here and there way too many semi trucks on the road at any given tiime so people very rarely walk down the side of the road let alone ride a bike. Yeah we don't have a side walk in 90% of this town LOL. Nothing but road and grass.
But yeah in some towns and cities it is illegal to ride a bike on the sidewalk. Thats a $50 fine in some places.Comment

Re: I hate Bikers!!
I have a huge scratch down the right side of my car because a biker tried to fit between me and a parked car when I was stopped at a stop light on a narrow road. ******* didn't even stop.Comment

Re: I hate Bikers!!
I hate bikers too, but yes that is a bit exaggerated. Unluckily I live where all the bikers run rampant because it is a nice town to bike around...luckily there is a law in the town so they will get fined if they are not single file..of course some of them don't listen...and there is a nice bike trail about 10 minutes away from the town they could go to instead.Comment

Re: I hate Bikers!!
I don't hate them, but I wish some of them would use more common sense. I don't like it when they hog the road and don't give you any room to pass. You have to get over to the other side of the road and potentially risk a head-on collision with another vehicle. It happened to me just this morning; a biker was taking up all the room on my side of the street and I had to drift over to the left and into the other lane of traffic coming in the opposite direction. Of course, I waited until no one was coming but I was going around a bend and you can't see if someone's coming in that direction until they're right in front of you.New Jersey Devils- 1995, 2000, 2003

Re: I hate Bikers!!
Exactly. Of course, you would be at fault, even if the guy never should have been there in the first place. Even if no criminal charges were filed, you'd still have it on your conscience. I'd feel awful. It's like a pedestrian who darts in front of you. It's hard to stop on a dime unless you're going slowly.New Jersey Devils- 1995, 2000, 2003
