    Operation Sports Official Tattoo Thread

Searched but didn't see one of these. So I'll start.

Here's my original design (done on paint, lol.):

A version designed by my friend:

    A touched up, drawing:

And the final design and finished product:

Facts behind the Tat: My favorite band is Metallica, they have gotten me through rough times. Including my Grandmothers passing who I loved very much. I wanted a way to pay tribute to her and give thanks to the band for helping me through the struggles of losing a loved one.

I've never really had any desire for a tattoo and will probably never get one. I do have several relatives and friends with tattoo's though and they're all pretty cool. Nice design BTW.

I just don't understand why you'd put something like that on your arm. The meaning behind it is nice though.

I have little desire to get a tattoo. 8 or 9 years ago when I was still in high school I really wanted to get one, or several. I was a bit of a punk...but thankfully all I did was put two plugs in my ear. That lasted for a few months, although the girls did like it. But back to the topic, before I just wanted to get a tattoo to get one, but now I don't think I ever would unless something major happened in my life and the tattoo could always remind me of it. I would definitely get it hidden on my back or chest though because of the corporate world and all.

        Nice design though, OP.

I have one on each arm and regret them more and more every day. I have a tribal design on my right upper arm that I got my first semester of college because I was into wrestling and thought Goldberg's was cool, and on the other arm I have a stupid American flag with an eagle that I thought looked awesome in 2000.

I'm thinking (probably about 90% sure) of getting a tattoo on my shoulder this summer. Well on the back of my shoulder...so right upper back.

I'm going to wait until my son is born next month and then I want to get the outline of his and my daughters foot prints (to scale) on my right shoulder with each ones astrology sign in the middle.

It will be the right foot print of my daughter slightly above and to the right of my sons (as she is the oldest).

I wanted to get this done when my daughter was born, but decided to wait so that I could get them done by the same artist and make sure they match.

I have this on my upper back.

It's a caduceus. I got it 2 years ago because my job in the Navy is a corpsman and this is our insignia. It's black with a red tint in the middle, it looks really cool I think lol. It was my first tattoo and hurt like hell because I had some acne on my back and when the guy was on my spine it hurt.

I also got another tattoo in July on my left arm. It's my wife's initials and the date we got married.

I get a lot of crap for it from my boys, but hopefully I'll never regret it!

I was never into tattoo's before but once you get one they become addicting. I want another one but not sure what I would get. Some of my friends will get a tattoo just because they are bored. This one time in North Carolina my friend was bored so he got a tattoo of a ****ing panther covering his whole forearm lol.

Edit: Oh and why I was doing training in Chicago a Japanese friend of mine got wasted and he got a tattoo on his *** that said. "Made in Korea." No joke lmao I've never laughed so hard seeing his expression the next day when he was sober.

Thank you. And it barely pokes out of a short sleeve shirt, it's not too bad.

Looks good, like the meaning behind it. Any reason as to why you didn't get the inside of the letters completely filled in? IMO it would look better if the letters were completely filled in, but it does look great the way it is now.

I have 4 tattoos, well 3 now because I regretted one and got it covered up with another tattoo. Came out great, will post some pics later.

LOL I was thinking about making a tat thread when I woke up this morning.....

But anyway......what is with women who get tats on the top of their foot ? IMO they look ugly as hell. I seen one of my co workers the other day on her day off wearing flip flops and she has a big flower tat on top of her foot.

I seen a lot of women lately with those kind of tats on their feet or they would have a puerto rican flag or irish shamrock on their foot.

Far as getting people names tatted on you, unless those are your kids names, I wouldn't get nobody name tatted on me, married or not, considering the divorce rate in USA is like 54%

I was going to but I thought it would look sweet also as if it were made of crumbling stone.
