Thanks. So far the most painful part for me was the area where my biceps goes to my armpit. That stung lol. Crazy part is everything you see in those pics only costs me $200 can't beat that especially for quality work

Yea I got a tattoo on ky other arm the size of my fist that costs $200 never again....its good to know people. When you go to a shop the artist have to charge for the chair, that's why its so expensive.

Re: Operation Sports Official Tattoo Thread

I'm about to make some additions to my left arm here in a few weeks.

I've got a drag w/ a hint of red all ready on my left arm, but I'm wanting to re color it and drop right below it and come all the way back up to the top of my arm with some sort of sleeve. I'm trying to be creative here, but I've also been asking a few people what they suggest.. just to get some different ideas and someone may open my mind up to something I haven't even thought of.

Here's a picture from about 4 years ago (18 yrs old). I've since went back added some red highlights to it.

Also, I've been back in the gym for a few months now and I'm starting to build muscle and get a more 'cut' look to my arms. Has anyone ever experienced any issues with getting tattoos and then building or losing muscle ? Just a fear I have..

Do you have any sort of theme in mind? My whole theme for my sleeve was japanese. So when I got my dragon done is was easy to fill in the area.

A common thing people use to fill in area are ice bars.

Those are the black bars around my koi fish.

I love the dragon theme, but I'm having a hard time coming up with a good way to work around it and turn it into a half sleeve.

I've been considering trying to see if It can be covered up and re do my entire arm from the bottom of my existing tattoo and go up. It may be hard to do, though..

Seeing your pic it wouldn't be hard to cover up at all. Just depends on what you want to get. Your obviously going to need to get something with a lot of shading. I have two stupid tattoos on my left arm. They are going to be covered up with a geisha. As long as the artist is talented anything can be covered up good.

I'm going to Trussville today and I'm going to look around at some different tattoo shops. I've seen one of my friends rom work come back with some awesome work from Cullman, lately. I'm also considering riding up there and taking a look.

We have a few good artists in town, but I'm wanting someone from another city to work on it..

You obviously know this all ready but just make sure the artist is really good. Ain't nothing worse then a bad cover up. The guy I go to has made a living of covering up another local artist work. The other artist is very cheap with his ink so the Tatts always come out bad. So people go to my guy an he fixes them. Half of his portfolio is cover ups.

I'm really wanting to get "Ambition" tatted on my bicep, anyone got any advice on bicep tatts? I got one on my rib cage, my first, back in november. I'll post a pic soon.

Getting something that can't be covered by a short sleeve shirt you better like wearing long sleeves or be in a job where they don't care about tattoos showing.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

If it gets close to the armpit area its gonna sting a bit. When you get a word or name think real hard about how much you want it. Most regretted tatts are words an names. Obviously if you get just the word ambition you may feel like it looks plain. You can allways accent it with a color like red or some sort of light background like clouds or something.

Here is my latest done today.

This is a portrait of my dad who passed away in 2010 from colon cancer. It is based off of this picture.
