Spandex is a privilege, not a right.

I call them both. Usually 'sliders'. Unless that's gay, too.Rice Owls - Houston Astros/Dynamo/Rockets/Texans - Arsenal - PSGComment

Re: Dudes and flip flops
I have a couple pairs of flip flops. I don't see what is wrong with a man wearing flip flops/sliders. Tennis shoes get hot and uncomfortable after awhile, especially in the summer time. Hell, sometimes I just don't feel like putting socks and shoes on to go to class. Plus, I've had these puppies for a couple years and they're the most comfortable footwear I have ever owned.

Re: Dudes and flip flops
It's hot as balls here in Texas, like 100* on the regular in the summer. I don't want to shove my big, flat feet into some no-ventilated shoes and walk around with the funk building up inside. And sometimes I simply enjoy being able to take off my shoes and walk around on the nice soft grass. On the same token, I don't wear flip flops consistently.Comment

Re: Dudes and flip flops
the last couple of days some of the threads i thought wouldn't go far has been the most active, OS is weird like that. Whatever floats your boat. Me personally the only time I notice men wearing sandals is when they wearing white socks with it, so it kind of stands out. Don't have a problem with it.
I do have a problem with bbw women wearing high heel sandals made for a skinny woman and you see their fat feet hanging all over the sides of the sandal to the point you can't even SEE the sandal itself. Look like some hamhocks tied in string.Comment

Re: Dudes and flip flops
Totally 1 gazillion percent agree with you.Sandals, thongs, whatever you want to call them.
Am I the only person on this earth who thinks there should be a law against guys wearing flip flops in public? At the beach? Fine. In the privacy of your own home? I don't care what you do there. But I don't want to stare at your gnarly toes while I'm eating my lunch. Be a man, wear regular shoes.
I'm fully prepared to be the only person that has this opinion, but I needed to vent a little.Joshua:

Re: Dudes and flip flops
Three (one new pair, one old pair, and one fancy pair for formal occasions). I pretty much only wear one pair of shoes 99% of the time, though. I don't see the need for a million pairs of expensive shoes.Comment

Re: Dudes and flip flops
Since when has "moist" be an meaning for looking gay?
I wear these things a lot:

Not only are they comfortable (it's often 30-35+ degrees Celsius - that's 86-95 for you Fahrenheit guys - here in Australia, no way i'm wearing shoes and socks outside of work) but they have a bottle opener for opening beers. What's could be more manly than that.

Re: Dudes and flip flops
Jesus wore sandals , but me personally , i do not like the feel of flip flops , no support , as far as the way people who wear 'em look , i've never really thought about it . if i could get away with it i would go every where with my feet all '' commando '' , wal-mart , convenience stores , theater , fast food chains , what have you . nothin' like the feel of your feet free from their chainsComment
