Re: Waiting on Powerball numbers (252 million)
I have won a total of $5. I've played about 15 lottery scratch off games in my life and have only won $5 once. I ****ing hate the lottery. I don't play it much though, it is just throwing money away.
When I use to work at Kroger people would buy 5-10 lottery scratch off games daily and play them on their lunch break. And they hardly ever won, these people weren't making enough money as it is and they were just throwing it way.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Like my man Bill Simmons said. The lottery is such a great invention. Another thing the government uses to make the non-elites think they have a chance to "make it."
Folks spending their hard earned money day after day HOPING to win something that might not even exist. (Has been conspiracies that nobody actually wins). I had to get my father to stop playing that game every week. His mother used to do it so he thought it was the thing to do. Waste of $.
If you want to gamble just go to the damn casinoConcrete evidence/videos pleaseComment

All that money is great, and I've been on the verge of buying a ticket before. Then I remember the odds of winning and say, **** it, I'm getting a candy bar instead. At least I know I'll be satisfied with that purchase.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: Waiting on Powerball numbers (252 million)
If you buy a lotto ticket a week that is only $52 a year. I am sure people spend quadruple that a year on things like soda when stopping at the gas station.
Are you people against the lottery or gambling in general?Comment

Re: Waiting on Powerball numbers (252 million)
The worst thing is that's it's usually poor people paying the voluntary tax, which is sad. But I can't really feel bad for them because it's their choice to throw their money away.
Of course, I don't have a problem with people buying lottery tickets every now and then for the heck of it, but it's sad that people spend hundreds of dollars a year on something they have virtually no chance at winning.Comment

a soda just makes me more unhealthy (1 soda a day every day, think of all the extra sugar and calories)... a lottery ticket doesnt ruin your diet, instead it gives you that thrill, that adrenaline rush from the thought that you may win, even if it is just for a momentComment
