Same here, I now avoid Chinese food completely because of one bad experience I had with a Chinese buffet. Thinking about it makes me lose my appetite.Comment

Re: I knew I shouldn't have eaten that sandwich...
Gee what a lovely thread, and I was just finishing eating a snack as I started reading it.
Like z Revis, I rarely get sick. Usually nothing more than colds. I've had 2 24 hour intestinal bugs in the past 10 years though I do get the runs every now and then (usually from holding it to long or when the weather is really hat and I've been sweating a lot.
As for actual food poisoning, during my junior year in high school I was on a class trip to Washington D.C. and the one night we went to a dinner theater thing. I got Chicken Kiev and it was just awful, had absolutely no taste. By the time time I got back to the hotel that night I wasn't feeling to hot and had the runs, but I was fine by the next morning.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

I don't really get colds either. Maybe like once every 2-3 years. I don't know. I just get the basic not very serious stuff like headaches, soar throats, stomach aches, etc. that can be relieved with an aspirin or something. lol.
I haven't been like bedridden from illness in so long. I was bedridden a month ago due to pulling a muscle in my lower back though. Hurt so bad, I couldn't even roll over without wincing in immense pain.Indianapolis Colts

Re: I knew I shouldn't have eaten that sandwich...
Reminds me of the time I went and ate McDonalds for lunch quite a few years ago. I just went and got their crispy chicken salad so I thought nothing of it. A few hours later, I suddenly started feeling funny so I decided that I needed to head home now! I got in my car and started racing home. I must have been going about 85 on the highway. (Speed Limit was 65). Of course, I got pulled over. Not the best time in the world to be pulled over. The cop came to the window of my car and I guess he could see how uncomfortable I was and how pale I was. I explained that I had eaten a bad lunch and was feeling really ill. I was only a couple of miles away from the house, but I was in a cold sweat, my stomach was making noises that really aren't normal, and thankfully the cop could see that. I didn't get a ticket or a warning, but I did get a nice escort by the cop to my house. (He went in front of me with his lights on and sped fast allowing me to tail right behind him. I REALLY appreciated that).
I got home and got to the toilet RIGHT before it was too late. Had I been a second later, my parents would have been very upset with me. (As this was before I had moved into my own place). That day was the last time I ever ate McDonalds for lunch.Comment

Re: I knew I shouldn't have eaten that sandwich...
Yeah, I was really quite shocked. It was an older gentleman who seem to be more realistic and not out to show the rest of the force how big their wanker is by the number of tickets they gave out. I'm also guessing that since he didn't have radar on me and couldn't say my exact speed, that it wasn't worth the effort. The fact that he was willing to basically escort me to my house (once I told him where it was as he had a patrol to go to that was a short distance away) really made me stunned. I'm so glad he did that though. Major props to the CT State Police.Comment

Re: I knew I shouldn't have eaten that sandwich...
my girlfriend once made me a sandwich with mayonnaise gone horribly wrong. I mean like 4 to 6 months past expiration...I puked and was so naseous I couldn't keep down water that night...for 8 hours I was throwing up. She thought I was faking. The next morning , I feel ok...guess who's in the bathroom puking?Comment
