    I don't think it's Noah's Arc, but you never know, I guess.

I heard the remains of the whale that ate Jonah washed up on the beach yesterday.

Ok I think this is the second time they've "found" this particular wreck. I seem to remember this years (many) ago, and they did some carbon-14 dating on the wood and it didn't match up to the time when it should have existed.

There are far too many documented civilizations during that time period for there to have been a 13,000 foot high flood.
I saw a program once that suggested that this mega-flood was due to the filling of the Black Sea. It said that thousands of years ago the Black Sea was a much smaller landlocked freshwater lake within a large basin and separated from the Mediterranean sea by a strip of land that is now the Bosporous Strait. Furthermore, during the last ice age, the Mediterranean sea was much lower and large parts of it may have even been dry for some periods. As the climate warmed and the water levels of the Mediterranean rose, it begin to put pressure on and erode the strip of land separating it from the Black Sea basin and eventually this strip of land collapsed catestrophically allowing an extraordinarily rapid influx of seawater from the mediterranea that filled the Black Sea basin to above its current shores for a while until it droped back to its modern levels.

First, I appreciate you guys keeping the discussion civil. Bravo.

Secondly, I am going to lock it up because we all know what path this will inevitably lead down and religion is not allowed here at OS. Sorry.
