Anybody ever used Priceline name your own price for a flight?

I am trying to figure this thing out. Apparently the employees are restricted from uttering a word about it, as I have already tried to call. And they say they are not allowed to comment on it.

When you put in your departure date & your return date and then you type in the price, is it giving you the price for just one way, or for round trip airfare? Because when it displays the price, next to it, it says for example, "$100 per ticket" Then down below, after the taxes it will say the total is, "$140"

How do I know if this is round trip or just one way?

It should say, one way or the other. Do you live anywhere near an airport that has Southwest? They'd be the cheapest and don't charge for bags.

Thing about priceline is they match what you want to pay with the service you get. So if you get a round trip flight from JFK to LAX for $100, you will probably have 3 stops along the way with at least 1 five hour layover. I would just go to Yahoo! Travel.

I can fly free (at least until I'm 23), so I've never used it.

        That's not necessarily always true.

Dude, Southwest is NOT cheap. I flew non-stop to Oregon last year on AA, roundtrip for $190 . Southwest was nearly $400 for the same trip, but stopped like twice.

No, in the rules, it says there's never more than 2 stops and never more than a 2hr layover or something to that effect.

Like any other airline, it depends on the route. Sometimes Southwest is cheaper, sometimes they're not. My wife and I flew to Philadelphia last year, and Southwest was about $50 per person cheaper than any other airline, and was also the only non-stop option.

Yea I don't get when people say fly this airline because it is cheaper. That is not true at all, there are so many variables that go into it. The route your flying, time, etc. For example if your flying from Cincinnati-Atlanta on Delta it will be cheaper then any other airline because those are 2 hub's for Delta.

Of course you have to factor in fees and Southwest is the best one to go with in terms of cheapest fees, but if your SW ticket is $300 more then an AA ticket then those fees don't mean as much.

Hate you for being able to fly non-stop into Philly, I usually have to fly into BWI from most places in the South I have tried.

Do you only fly Southwest? Maybe try U.S. Airways to fly into Philly if you can.

Southwest can be cheap. Especially there "Wanna To Get Away" promotion. The thing is you have to book in advance. I've flown from New Orleans to Nashville for $69+tax. Also, I've flown from New Orleans to Birmingham, AL. for $39+tax.
