So many things these days turn into a series of escalating bad choices. You hope someone in the chain is able to step back and let cooler heads prevail.

The judge should have dressed her down(no pun intended), and kicked her out of the courtroom, but sending her to the pokey was a bit much. Fine her 20 bucks. I think that would be a harsh enough punch in the gut for that "yout"

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Nobody was saying she should be sent to jail. But that judge has every right to throw her out of the courtroom.

And honestly since she wasn't there on court business I don't feel she should have been in the courtroom anyway. But that's just me.

i was probably just misinterpretating what sting posted but i definitely think most courtroom business should be open to general public . i wouldn't let anyone in to courtroom if they were wearing questionable attire , but a plain white t shouldn't be objectionable , i don't even care if they're wearing sandals & a wifebeater , so long as their pits don't be stinking

I had jury duty last year and what some of the people where wearing shocked me. I wasn't exactly dressed up, just wearing my normal business causal work clothes, but there were people with flip flops on, shorts, women with short shorts, etc. I don't know why people just don't have any respect for themselves to be presentable in public.

I guess it makes it easier on the lawyers when picking the jury based on what type of people they think they need on the jury.

I know there is a judge in Tampa if you're not dressed appropriately he will not here your case and will tell you to come back. C'mon folks have some kind of respect for yourself.

Let's see... extremely trashy girl looking for attention with her style and choice of attire gets put in jail and now looks for more attention via lawsuit. Why am I not surprised?

I wore shorts and a golf shirt for jury duty, but the judge said it was OK as there was no air conditioning in the court room and it was around 100 outside..

Yeah, I can't imagine doing that.

You should have to dress up for court, shouldn't be a problem and raises the level of respectability.

If I ever have to go to court I wear my suit (like for a ticket or something), and going to jury duty I had on khakis and a dress shirt. You don't have to go crazy with the dress clothes, but be presentable. Plus if I'm in court, I want the judge on my side, and they're more likely to get pissed off if I'm wearing some off color t-shirt and ripped jeans.

Yeah I always though it was a requirement to dress up for court. I always do. But nothing surprises me anymore. I see people dress like they going out to the beach or out to the club for job interviews now too.

I guess when you have kids having kids, nobody teaches the kids that you have to dress for the occassion.
