What the teacher did is wrong, but she can just say "she lost it." She will probably sue the school district, but what she did was wrong and she should be fired. Teaching is not easy, but you have to professional. And if you mess up just one time you should be fire, especially in this case. It sucks, but it is what it is. I remember when a student call me a dick for kicking him out of class. I didn't call him a dick back, because I am the professional. Same with this teacher.

I really wish there was a type of reproduction police that could really calculate whether a person would be a fit parent or not. Bro, when I was in junior high in the mid 90's, this one dude got caught smoking. Our locker room was under the gym floor and the gym teacher made the class stand on the center line, walked the kid from there past the baseline, down stairs, and back to where they were directly underneath us in the teacher's office. He then proceeded to paddle the kid with a wooden paddle. We heard the kid screaming and heard the licks he got. NONE of us even THOUGHT about smoking in school after that.

In my mind, part of what made the teacher in the video's behavior so outlandish was she showed no self control. You want to spank your kid? As long as it's legal in your state, have at it. I think that spanking should still be allowed in school. But make sure that you're not doing it out of anger and your not must beating the kid, either. Show some self-control when you're doing it or don't do it at all.

Art Education is what I have a degree in but after a few weeks of student teaching in my last semester I knew it wasn't for me. I had sort of started leaning that way before the actual teaching due to all the warnings but was just blown away with how dismal it was.

They don't get paid nearly enough for the crap they go through.

Wow this female teacher has better stand up then Kimbo Slice........

At risk schools are dangerous......I know at the at risk schools in Chicago and public schools for that matter, you had 5th and 6th graders bringing knives and hand guns to school and they constantly threaten to attack teachers, with a lot of them vandalizing teacher cars.

She should have just called security though. Who knows he could have called her a B one too many times and that was the day she just snapped.

I don't find the video disturbing at all, for I have seen far worse happen in school when it came to teachers REALLY attacking students.

That would be my way of handling some *** of a kid who beats up on a handicapped girl BUT that's not how a teacher should handle it.

lol, nope when you work at these kind of places you can wear jeans. It is a different world in these places. At the J Hall I wear Levi jeans and Nike shirts and my Jordans or Air Forces. And no one bug us about it too. One teacher wears sweats. It is what it is. That is what is cool about working there.

Well I think the female teacher deserves to get beat by the childs dad and hopefully he is about 6'6" 320.

Like i said, I bet if this kid was a big 13 year old pushing 6 feet, this teacher wouldn't have done that.

What she did was way worse than what the 13 year old did.

I won't say this is right or wrong, but I believe that the kid crossed the line of being handled like a normal human being when he attacked a female who clearly couldn't have defended herself. It makes me give more respect to the teacher who felt the sickness in her gut enough to take matters into her own hands.

Exactly Scott. Luv, look how small that kid is compared to the teacher. All she needed to do was grab him and restrain him, and get him to the office.

Throwing haymakers and kicking the kid? No, not appropriate. She's supposed to be the example, the professional.

There is nothing that could justify this. Regardless of whether the kid was a little punk or not that is disgusting, criminal behavior from that teacher.

Yeah, it really is a shame that a 40-year old employee isn't allowed to street stomp a kid out. That's what's wrong with America.
