Re: Taco Bell Drive Thru gives customer $2000 instead of a burrito

I don't think anyone feels bad for Taco Bell. Two grand is less than a rounding error for them. Someone probably lost their job over this though, and unless it was just some high school kid, if they're working at a demeaning job like that they probably need it. It's two grand, I don't need it, won't change my life to have an extra two grand so I'd give it back without hesitation. I don't take handouts and I don't steal. I'm not looking for a pat on the back, but I don't see how its hard to believe someone would turn in two grand.

Who orders Taco Bell at 10:30 AM? I didn't even know they were open that early.

The manager drives through the drive thru, gets the deposit, and then goes to the bank. I guess they don't want them walking 20 ft to their car outside with the money.

Yea thats why, I guess they are afraid they will get robbed.

And I didn't know Taco Bell's were open that early either, and usually at 10:30 AM I don't want to have diarrhea either because I usually have to go back to work.

No way in hell it'd return it, T Bell's loss is my gain.

I went to Taco Bell and all I got was heartburn and nausea.

Had that a few months back except mine didn't go up, cost me too damned much to get it fixed.

I love the Bell never had any problems there. McD's is a totally different story, I've gotten a bogey burger twice, once in Clarksville and once in Middletown. I stick to chicken now a days.

I'd return it without a doubt. It's immoral and dishonest to keep money that isn't yours.

If they gave me that bag, I'd be pretty pissed that I didn't get my food. Salsa Roja Chicken Tortada >>> $2000

                          Seriously...I'd return it, because..

                          a.) Karma

b.) I always use my debit card, so they'd be able to track me

c.) The ******* who gave me the money would definitely lose his job if the money didn't come back, whereas if I returned it immediately, there'd be a slight chance he'd get to keep it.

d.) Even though it's a "large corporation," it still directly effects the managers at that individual store who aren't making that much in the first place. They're judged based on their store's income, $2000 may not seem like much, but it can be the difference between reaching the goals for the month or not, which can effect bonuses, job security, etc.

Too many negatives for what was an honest mistake. I have a job that I can earn my own money at.

I am kinda tempted to go to my Taco Bell around here and order some tacos and $2,000 and she what happens.

You do realize this is a crime right? It is like finding a wallet with $2,000 in it with ID too. It is actually no difference. It is wrong to keep it and I am pretty sure you can get charge with it too.

I'd keep the $2000 and spend all of it on the same Taco Bell.

Win-win scenario for myself and Taco Bell.
