I'm guessing he picks his numbers and the clerk made a mistake, so he voided it and got his correct "lucky" numbers.

You do not void a lottery error. You simply roll with that and your "regular" numbers on another.

Yeah everyone that comes in to play the lottery ALWAYS takes any mistakes that I may make. People rarely asked them to be void because they think the mistake ticket might be good luck.

Basically and the reason is rare cases like these.

I'd be tempted to play the lottery but have fundamental issues with how the money is spent (by the government).
