First off, lemme start off by saying that I am a college student just finishing my third year. Since I was probably 13 years old I've had confidence issues. I don't know how or why they started but it has been eating at me for years. Long story short, I didn't really like who I was alot of times.
Recently I've decided to man up and do what I need to do to build my confidence back up, whether that be keeping myself occupied(which I have now that I got a 28-32 hour job, and by working out and watching my diet. My goal by the middle of August at my family reunion is to at least lost 35 to 40 pounds. I think it's reasonable goal since I'm still 21. Which brings me back to this ordeal I think I found myself into about an hour ago.
So I'm at the gym, working the bicycle, when there is this couple, or so I thought running on Ellipticals next to each other. At first glance I thought they were a couple, but then after he followed her to that ab machine thingy, I then started to think that the man was training the woman. Mind you I had headphones on so I didn't know what was REALLY going on and that the man was spitting game at this woman the entire time. So after a little while, the man leaves the gym while the woman is still working her abs, when after finishing a set, I can barely hear her saying something to me through my headphones. I take a bud out one ear, and she's trying to tell me that the dude was being an "old horndog" LOL. I laugh and before I know it I'm striking a conversation with lady right after homeboy left.
So we're talking and before long I find out that she is 48 and doesn't look a day of it. She has two kids and apparently her husband had left her house recently. This was not before she showed me here ring and said it wasn't hers. I gave my condolences but she insisted it was for the better. She mentioned that she hasn't seen me there often, which is true because I just got back from visiting fam in NC. She also asked if I was a college student, which and am, and commented that I didn't look like one, which I get a lot. I tell her I'm 21. We talk some more, included exchanging where our houses are in the neighborhood. She asked some questions about my mom, but I didn't really pay much attentions to that. I forgot her name already, but if I see her again, I'll just play it off to look like I'm kidding and knew it the whole time.
My question is, what do I make of this? I seems kinda clear that she was hitting on me rather than talk to that other dude. I know, she's 48. She has two kids, both 15 btw and she is in a deteriorating marriage, seemingly wanting it to end. But like any 21-year old with raging hormones, I am intrigued. It would be quite a story to tell and from what I hear, older woman are VERY experienced. It ain't like she ugly either. I give her a 6 at best. Maybe a 7 on a good day if she fixed herself up. What y'all think?

I don't recommend for young guys to hook up with older women, but more power to you.
