    Re: Any Spades players?

My parents were part of a spades group and when I was younger I would go with them and play. It’s a pretty fun game.
    MLB: Texas Rangers
    Soccer: FC Dallas, Fleetwood Town
    NCAA: SMU, UTA
    NFL: Dallas Cowboys
    NHL: Dallas Stars
    NBA: Dallas Mavericks

I own a band check it out

Pretty much the same, except we went Joker, Joker, Deuce. No blinds (except 10 for 2), no nil.

Played it a ton in tournaments some years ago. In official tournaments there are no wild cards, the Ace of Spades is the highest trump card in the game. Always used sandbags and nils were allowed. No "blind 6" stuff either.

Love this game. I need to find some official rules. Whenever I play with a new group, it's always a different style.

I prefer as many rules as possible, though. But, I'm also that type of guy that will hound you and make sure you're not trying to slip one past me and my partner.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
