Well in the wild, the strong take down the weak. So in reality that gazelle was probably old or had something wrong with it anyway and that was why it was caught. That is how I remember it explainned to me on the nature channel I was 6 years old, LOL.

If people keep eating deer, eventually they will be on the endangered list too.

Uhhhh, no. Hunting deer around here is almost a necessity in order to keep the population counts down because they don't have the same natural predators they used to.

Exactly. Back in Iowa we had more than one deer hunting season per year. They are EVERYWHERE, including face down on the side of the roads because they always run out into traffic.

in Michigan the first day of hunting is a holiday som people allow paid days off from work. I'm surprised i dont see people selling "venison" at restaruants or in stores

And the best way to save the lions, paradoxically, is to farm them...and eat them. That would give people the incentive to protect them. This strategy is credited with helping to revive the buffalo from near extinction.

The current ban on the selling of lion parts is just stupid. International laws aren't going to change human nature.
