Do you ever do the 'play now' or 'quick game' modes against the CPU?
Do you guys ever get the urge to use the 'play now' or 'quick game' modes when you play against the CPU, instead of franchise/dynasty/legacy mode? I mean, sometimes, I think this is useful if you wanna see what quarter length is great to get realistic scores or stats without the games meaning anything or if you need to practice a certain aspect of your game (for example, if you are playing Madden and are trying to learn how to pass better, in a real game situation instead of practice mode)

I play it usually when I have a totally new video game, and I just want to see the game in action, get used to the controls and see the graphics. After several games, (usually with the team I'll play season with), I'll see what I need to edit (players, sliders etc.) and then start a season. I never start a season before playing some exhibition games.Last edited by youvalss; 07-15-2010, 08:55 PM.My Specs:

I'm constantly playing, "Play Now" games. Especially in NCAA. Just to get to see every stadium and all the players.. idk, maybe its just me.1925-1926-1930-1934-1941-1961-1964-1965-1973-1978-1979-1992-2009-2011-2012

Re: Do you ever do the 'play now' or 'quick game' modes against the CPU?
No. I think it has something to do with it not really counting towards anything. Like you're not advancing in your season/franchise and you're not getting your ranking up online or playing your friends. It's just a meaningless game.
Not to say it isn't fun, but I only do it if I wanna practice or play for just a few minutes.Comment

Yep its just about all I play these days b/c I just havent found a game I know I would like playing over a season. I'm mostly a NBA gamer and I dont care for 2K's gameplay so I'm stuck with Live/Elite.
That game has had its fun moments but not enough for me to want to play a franchise. It looks like this year's gameplay may be up to snuff so I might finally play a franchise something I havent done since 2K7..Comment

Same here...Once I get rosters I'll do my own dynasty (also in an online one), but otherwise it'll just be to try out different teams and stadiums.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Only with certain games. NCAA football, basketball and NHL 2k10 with games like MLB 2k11 and madden I just play preseason to get used to the controls.Gaming hard since 1988
I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.Comment

Re: Do you ever do the 'play now' or 'quick game' modes against the CPU?
I almost never play a franchise or career mode. To this date, I've never played a video game with a career mode even worth playing, or played a game in which the game is good enough to even continue through a single or multiple years.
My offline gaming is spent in exhibition mode until I tire of the poorly designed AI that will eventually become too much to handle anymore.Comment
