I'm going to sound like an ******* right here. This guy I know lost his sister last week in a car crash she was in her 30's I believe. He is obviously sad about it. But literally every hour he posts a status like, "Don't want to talk" , "It hurts so much", "No one knows what I'm going through", "Everyone just leave me alone", "I need space right now." This has been going on for days now, but seriously guy if you do not want to talk about it which is completely understandable please stop posting on Facebook every hour.

Yea stuff like that is annoying and a cry for attention. When one of my best friends died earlier this year whenever a status like that came up I would say something to that person to take it down.

Once every 2-3 months, if that. I rarely send messages or wall posts either. Strangely though, I check facebook everyday.

once or twice a week unless its one of those weeks, but i have friends update their sometimes 3-4 times a day. i really hate when people put others on blast and then say "insider" wtf you just put them on blast to everyone out there then say "insider"

Few times per week, if that. The wife updates hers CONSTANTLY. Not about her usually, as most are about our son, or about her stupid reality shows (Bachelorette). Drives me nuts.

I also can't friggen stand people who NEVER have anything good to say, always crying about how their life sucks, or how things never go their way. Some people are so desperate for attention it's disgusting.

I deactivated my account there last week. I signed up a year ago at the request of a good friend to get back in contact with her and my group of friends in Seattle, and it started off great.

Then my five kids wanted to add me (they are 22,21,19,16,15), which brings a few of their friends along as well. And my wife, and one of my two bosses. Then my wife wanted to have me sign up for Mafia Wars so she could get more stuff for that (I don't play) which also wound up her adding some friends for me....etc.

So, I went from a nice private circle of friends and a way to chat with them to just too much, too many people and I felt like I couldn't even POST status messages because I couldn't say what I really think because there would be too much questioning.

I might go back to it and create a new account (my wife's suggestion, who understands what I'm sayin), and have no family or bosses connected to it, just my friends.

So as of today I had to do it. I avoided it as long as I could but it became next to impossible now that I'm back in college with the tipping point being I missed a huge extra credit opportunity that was posted as a bulletin. Most of the clubs, organizations, professional-types, and professors use this as the main source of contact, so at some point it was bound to happen.

So now I expect to be "poked" to death, have j-holes constantly wanting friend requests & being up in arms when I refuse and mofo's trying to get me to farm.

I've pretty much avoided any games on facebook since I have other games that will chew up my time. After a year I've still kept my circle small (although I do have a few old high school friends that I added along with several college classmates I've met in the past two years before graduating). It certainly does add up but fortunately since I'm going by a different nickname that my relatives aren't familiar with, they have yet to add me like they have with my siblings.

My goal on facebook isn't to add as many people on my friend's list, but to try and keep up with friends and all. I don't put status updates often and when I do, it's usually a random event, information on any CAL earthquake felt here, or something coming up that other people I know might relate to. I also keep as a means if anyone needs to contact me, so I leave a tab open for facebook (as I used to do with AIM, signing on).

I last updated mine when LeBron made his "decision"

I never update it more than once per day unless a game/sporting event is on. On average, I may update it once per week.

I used to update it a lot...if I was getting ready to go play ball, if I met some ugly chick, etc. I like to crack jokes...A LOT...so I change my status quite a bit.

HOWEVER, I've found myself on twitter waaaaaay more than facebook lately.

I still don't have a facebook, and hoping I never do. I was the last person alive (including the starving ethiopian children), to ever get a myspace and it made me realize I have no friends lol. I actually use it now to search for bands, I'm a metalhead and radio stations in my area don't play my ****, so it actually serves a purpose occasionally.

I don't have a facebook and will never get one. Actually I've had like 3, but deactivated all of them within a week. Facebook just doesn't appeal to me.

I'm a bit of a link whore I suppose... but people seem to get a laugh or learn something most of the time. I probably throw 2 links up per day to random stuff I come across, music, etc. But actual status updates, maybe once a day due to days where it's several times and times where I don't touch it for 3 days.
