So a size 10 woman is considered plus size now ?

So I was reading the newspaper about this plus sized model who was upset over the fact they doctored her photo and made her a size 2. When in reality she is a size 10 and she is considered a plus size model.

My question is since when was a size 10 considered plus size ????????

When I think of plus size, I think of 16 and bigger. Because I know when I lived in chicago and northwest indiana, a lot of woman on average was a size 22. To see a woman size 10 and smaller was rare. Seen a lot of 14's.

Out in Vermont, so far I seen a lot of 6's, 8's and 10's. Sometimes see some 22's and bigger, but not a lot.

need pics but I heard that 14 to 16 is the average woman now? Maybe a size 10 could be plus size depending on how big her arms are?

Women sizes confound me...my wife's range seems so bizarrely up and down based on the designer/garment.

It's why I never enter that minefield and attempt to buy her any clothing.

The ONLY time you buy your wife clothes is if she is with you at the time. Way too risky to pick something on your own.

That is what I was tripping on when I seen her photos and I think she was on some daytime news show as well a couple of days ago. I looked at her and was like she looks average size to me. What is plus on her ???

Isn't it funny that as our society gets fatter our models get skinnier? And women models are that skinny for other women, not for men...because very few men find skinny women attractive. Most men want woman with a lot of curves, not women that have the body of a ten year old boy.

I remember reading an article about Jessica Simpson getting fat and there was a pic of her, the article comments literally had hundreds of men's comments talking about how great she looked (among other things) and nothing bad from one man that I saw.

You be surprised.....I have a good number of male friends and co-workers who will only date size 4 and smaller women. If a woman is over 125 pounds, they consider them fat.

i like my women in the 10-16 range bout what my wife is. for you guys i can say i successfully have bought my wife clothes and she likes it. actually if she buys something if i don't like it she will usually send it back.

The women posted above is probably average size but bigger than most guys would like.

Women have strange bodies, I don't get it...they seem more apt to have "bigger bones" than men do or something. Their arms and legs seem to get big easily.

I like slimmer chicks, but I'm not a big dude. And I'm only 23 so the girls are probably smaller on average than at 30

The last time my wife was a size 10 she was in the midst of severe anorexia and didn't look great at all. Real wonderful idea to perpetuate the idea someone like that would still be plus sized. We need to stop letting deathly thin people set standards for anything except being a tool.
