Re: Vacation
My vacation time at work is very limited so I don't get to go near as much as I would like. I normally try to take a couple of weekend trips somewhere throughout the year and then a week long trip somewhere in the summer. This year the wife and I took our 2 little ones to Pittsburgh in May to watch the Braves play the Pirates, then we took them to the Pittsburgh Zoo the next day. We got back from a 4 day trip to Myrtle Beach with my parents, and siblings last night. Because I'm out of vacation time until October 31 here, I had to cut the trip short.....and the wife also had to work today as well. I've been at my current job for 3 years and we only get 10 vacation days and 3 sick days to last us for the year. When you have little ones that go to daycare and catch colds and viruses all the time, that's not many days. I've used 3 of my vacation days this year to stay home with my 2 year old when he was sick. FYI............being on vacation Sunday - Thursday and driving home 8 hours on Thursday, then having to work on Friday SUCKS!!!
