Jury duty day 3. There a bunch more new potential jurors today, but I don't know if that helps or hurts my chances of getting picked for a jury. At least I've been able to get work done while I've been waiting.

How are you on 3 days of jury duty and not even in trial?

I was wondering the same thing. Here, if you don't get picked for the Jury on day 1, your requirements have been filled and you get to go home.


In other news, I completed my first full season of Madden yesterday. Finished the regular season 12-4, 1st in the AFC with the Patriots. Beat the Jets and Colts on my way to a Superbowl victory over Brett Favre and the Vikings. Can't think of a better three teams to beat in the playoffs.

They're probably pulling from his pool for multiple cases. I think on day 1 he got disqualified because he was friends with one of the attorneys on the case, so they must have put him back in the pool for other cases.

In Cuyahoga County you have to serve 5 days unless you get called into a trial. If the trial lasts less than 5 days, you are done once it's over. At this point I'm hoping I don't get called. If I do get picked for a jury at this point, I'll probably have to come back next week.

There's a cardiologist here who's been complaining about being on jury duty for the entire week. He was complaining about the internet not working and not being able to use his computer. It does drop me from time to time, but I've had no problem reconnecting right away. He probably gave up after it dropped him once (not the most patient guy from what I can tell). I'm going to laugh if he gets called to a jury on Friday afternoon and has to come back next week.
For me, it's been no different from being at work except I'm in a different place. Plus I got to watch my friend (the prosecutor) in action for a little bit.

I am just knocking things off my to-do list at work today left and right. There's a couple things that have been on there for a couple weeks, but I finally got the info I needed to complete them today. Plus had a long-overdue staff meeting with my minions.
