I started programming my freshman year of high school, which was 2002. I mean, I had tinkered with HTML before, but that was really the first time I'd actually programmed for real. I completed a BS of CS in 3 years and graduated May 2009, and have been with my company since July of that year.

Did you use VB in your Freshman year. I believe thats when Microsoft came out with VB, 2002. What kind of programs do you make?I started programming my freshman year of high school, which was 2002. Re: Off Topic 2010
I started with a learning language called Karel J Robot, which gave way to Java. As for programs, I write whatever I need. At work, I convert between XML schemas, do database specifications, write large features, whatever. At home, I've written a PHP based list that helps me determine what games I want to put on my 50 game GameFly list. I've also written a lot of smaller programs.
The great thing about programs, though, is that once you know how to do it, you can do whatever you want.Rose City 'Til I Die

Thats one of the things that keeps me in the course. I can make so many different things that could be useful or just for fun. I can't imagine what I could do with Java.I started with a learning language called Karel J Robot, which gave way to Java. As for programs, I write whatever I need. Re: Off Topic 2010
Tinker around with it and I'm sure you can think of something. I like using Project Euler if I want to tinker around with some problems solved programatically. They're all little mindteasers that are made much simpler with some programming.Rose City 'Til I Die

Re: Off Topic 2010
Is there a way I can display my work on the internet if I think I have something really good? Just wondering.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2010
I'm not really sure. I've never felt like I've had good enough code to want to display it, lol. I'm not a huge fan of code reviews at work, even though I know I want to improve at my craft.Rose City 'Til I Die

Where have those 2 been? They've both been MIA for a while. Dayman is probably partying after the Packers throttled the Cowboys. Ryan is probably in the corner crying after the Seahwaks got throttled by the Giants.Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII

Re: Off Topic 2010
How about an entire program that I made that someone can download. Not just the code but the entire application. Or maybe even just the application file.Comment
