The Tecmo Bowl series is still some of my favorite games of all time.

My brother and I used to play every single game of Tecmo Super Bowl. Regular season, playoffs, everything. Then we would write down all of our season stats in a note book, start another season and compare stats. We played that game for hours and hours on end. Good times.

Just saw again the first Superman movie (1978). Yeah, it may be silly and the technology used there is outdated, but I still get excited by this movie. It has some atmosphere, some magic, that I haven't been able to find in movies the past 20 years or so. Even the credits with that music at the end of the movie still amaze me, and I watched it to the last one.

There's something about those older movies that just doesn't exist anymore. I don't even know what it is, but it's there.

Back from Vegas. Never going with family again. Kids were pretty annoying and my Mom was irritating as well.

Other than that, it was a good time. Played a ton of poker. I lost some money last night which put me down overall. I have never had a string of horrible deals like I did last night. After not getting ANYTHING worth a damn (MAYBE , 5 worthwhile hands in non-blind situations), I finally got A-Q suited. Had like 47 bucks in so I played. Flop comes A-Q-something. Dude bets so I go all-in with the rest of my chips. Dude calls me, turn is a 10 and the river is inconsequential. Cards flip, he had K-J. Boom, night over.

Wednesday night I had a good run though, but didn't get out while I should have.

Food was great, Wynn was kinda boring actually but they have a really intimate poker room which I like.

We got word that my Uncle's dog passed away so that was a major downer as well. They actually drove him from LA to Vegas to try an emergency surgery because my Aunt who lives in Vegas talked to her vet. Lots of confidence, but when they opened him up, vet said he hadn't seen anything like it, so they sewed him up and didn't even wake him up. Very sad

All in all, it's good to be back in my own bed.

I've gotten 5 hours of sleep the last 44 hours. The playoffs are incredibly draining. I feel like ****. But we won tonight 11-1 to tie the series up at 1-1.



I thought the 140 game regular season was a grind. Playoffs are on another level.
