I believe you're confusing them with Cubs fans. Cleveland doesn't have high expectations to begin with so one can't really be disappointed at the end of the season.

I generally keep Pinkerton on top. Blue was good, but Pinkerton is a masterpiece, IMO.

I agree. Nothing will ever top Pinkerton in terms of overall feel. From beginning to end, every song means something. You can feel Rivers' pain and sorrow and it resonates with you. Many people consider Pinkerton to be one of, if not the original true emo album. Way before it was twisted into how society views it today obviously.

Pinkerton and then Blue. I actually liked Maladroit a bit.

Green-Red-Make Believe-Raditude are all weak IMHO. Especially Raditude. That album actually made me angry.

Green doesn't make me angry near like the others do. Green was a solid record, just it wasn't up to everyone's expectations. Especially because during the years between Pinkerton and Green, Pinkerton went from being a critically acclaimed failure, to a cult classic of an album. (BTW Rolling Stone went from declaring it to be the worst flop of the 90's to saying it was the second best album of the 90's in like six years. I can't stand what they claim to be journalism.) Green just didn't drop everyone's jaw like Pinkerton did.

The thing about Weezer is they became very label-influenced. But there would still be those one or two gems on each album (Make Believe: Peferfect Situation, We Are All On Drugs, and maybe Beverly Hills; Red: Greatest Man, and maybe Heart Songs; Raditude: If You're Wondering, etc). So that's why I never lost complete hope. Because there would be that one glimmer of hope to hold on to. A lot of people even think that Raditude was put together sloppily just to get the final record on their contract with Geffen out of the way. I'd believe that seeing as it was horrible minus like 4 songs that I could even stand listening to.

So my wife is upset because they aren't showing new episodes of Greys Anatomy and that other hospital show she watches because of the shooting at John Hopkins today. She let a huge WTF when they announced that. Now she sitting in the office pouting LOL

On a different note my wife is exstatic that the local broadcasting station is carrying the Giants/Dodgers game. (We don't have cable or anything) so she's pretty happy about that.

so there's a relentless mouse outside my window (i have a basement room). It climbs the screen and tries to bite a hole at the top to squeeze through, at least I assume that's what it's doing. I knock it off the screen but it climbs right back up, always to the same spot.

edit: after a lengthy battle, the issue is resolved... RIP mouse

Going to Boston in a month. Gotta book the hotel tomorrow. Thinking about staying in Andover or some other outlying area. It's going to be a weekend, so we shouldn't have to deal with as much traffic. I think we have the trip mostly planned out. Aquarium on that Saturday for sure, some of the non-Boston historic areas (Salem, etc) on Sunday. Friday night and the rest of Saturday still need some filling, but I figure there has to be plenty to see in Boston. Kind of risky to be doing this roadtrip with this girl this quickly (we'll be at 2 1/2 months when we go), but it feels right, she wants to do, so I'm going with it.
