I can't get enough of the Crash Kings. They're such a solid band. Great writing, production, instrumentals, everything. It's a piano, a bassist, and a drummer. But he uses some crazy stuff on his piano that gives it an electric guitar sound. Watch some of their performances on YouTube. You just have to see it. I saw them live here in KC with Ben Folds, Silversun Pickups and Devo, and other than Folds, Crash Kings ripped it up.
If you're trying to get into Muse, listen to Absolution. That's what Muse is all about. Matt Bellamy is one of the most brilliant lyricists and composers I've ever seen. All around awesome band, I can't think of a song I don't like. And no one ever talks about their first album, and I love it. It's definitely different than anything else they've done.
I love Ruling Me and Unspoken so far. The album is still my fourth favorite overall, but I'm enjoying it. Obviously, they won't ever be back to Blue and Pinkerton form, but I'm happy. I wish though that Rivers wouldn't rely so heavily on outside writers and artists. I think it would have a more old school feel and less like The Rivers Show that they've become.

Nice.
