I hadn't viewed OS home and this was one of the first forums I jumped into. thanks

But I don't see where they are taking a year off, just that its not going to release until 2011. Or maybe I'm not reading far enough into the story.

I'm just kind of assuming they'll can it.

The only other thing I can think of is to release it in March when people have basketball (albeit college, but basketball nonetheless) on their minds.

I'm a little annoyed actually. This year was the first year I traded games in to gamestop in like 8 years, it was still Funcoland in my area back then. One of the games was Live 10 and I got a measly $9 for it. I took back a few games just to buy NCAA 11. Madden 10 and NCAA 10 only paid me $1.95 each and it doesn't look like I'll be getting Madden this year so I already wish I'd kept 10, and now Live 10 is going to have roster updates?

Oh and to make this "off topic" I hate having a cold!!

according to Gamestop's website the game has been delayed until March/April of next year.

EDIT: according to an employee and via there internal email, the game will be released "early 2011".

I can't wait for the "why don't they just do what Elite did and take a year off?" posts in the Madden section. Should be a blast.

Kind of like how when NHL said they were going to have real-time physics those threads showed up. Also people in that very NBA Elite thread already mentioned Madden a few times.

NBA Jam suppose to come before the holidays.....they haven't said as a DLC or disc yet. IMO they should just scrap the 11 season and focus on 12. Nobody is going to want to pay $60 for a NBA game in the middle of the season.

Delaying a game the week before it's due to come out until early next year......I dunno whether to applaud EA for taking the criticism and trying to make the game better or to be skeptical and think they won't do much with the game and release it when people will "conveniently" forget what caused the delay in the first place.

It's an interesting development to say the least though.

I'm leaning towards the latter. They should just can it til next fall. No one is going to buy it in the middle of basketball season. And they are going to release a game, and then release a new one some 6 months later? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

my guess would be that Elite is going to release at a much lower price point than $60, thus sorta playing the role as a "demo" for Elite '12.

Just my opinion.

I wonder if they change their name back to Live. Anyway Gamestop says Elite not coming out until March 31st. If that is the case, scrap it and focus on 12. That is way too late in the season.
