So I am sitting up here watching the 10 Commandments of the Mafia on Discovery channel. Makes me want to play through Mafia 2 and Godfather 2 again.

Re: Off Topic 2010
I do not normally play NBA games but those reviews have been really good. I might have to give it a rent.
I do not have a NBA team to root for so that sucks, it really makes playing these games kinda boring to me. I guess I could make a All-Syracuse team, that might work.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

I dont have a nba team either Cuse, but I just love the nba and basketball in general. This years game just looks incredible. Having Nba 2K11 and College Hoops 2K8 will be all I need to get my basketball fix.Comment

Rick Sanchez was fired from CNN for challenging Jon Stewart. I guess Rick now knows who got the juice now. That's messed up.

Re: Off Topic 2010
It wasn't necessarily because he challenged Jon Stewart but rather his comments about Stewart being a bigot then saying that's how most executives of news networks think.Rick Sanchez was fired from CNN for challenging Jon Stewart. I guess Rick now knows who got the juice now. That's messed up.

THAT'S what got him fired. It was a very ill-timed and stupid set of comments to make especially when CNN has a new president who's going to find any excuse to do away with shows/personalities he doesn't like or feel confident in.
I happen to like Sanchez's show a bit so it's a bit of a loss to me.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Off Topic 2010
It messed up in the sense that they just flat out fired him instead of suspending him for a month or 2. I mean when you think of all the stuff Foxnews anchors have said on the air and on their radio shows, none of them got fired and I think only one got suspended for a couple of weeks.
His questions to Jon Stewart was fair game. Hmmm bringing network execs into it was stupid. But being it was on his RADIO SHOW, he probably thought he could slip it in without too many of the big execs finding out.
I highly doubt they even listen to the radio show and was probably told by a listener or Jon Stewart attorneys.
Messed up.....he should have just been suspended being this was his 1st offense.Last edited by Gotmadskillzson; 10-02-2010, 07:32 PM.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2010
nothing like spending a tab of nearly $60 at a sports bar just so you can watch a game on a big screen TV instead of a computer monitor. Oh well...at least it ended in victory.
And man...it definitely is feeling like fall outside...a nice cool 50 degrees outside right now.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Off Topic 2010
Today is probably one of the most memorable in my life. Spent the day doing Senior Project (mentor is Sports Anchor at CBS affiliate), which all of a sudden kicks major ***.
- Didn't go to film (excused)
- Was on field for Pre-Game
- Saw multiple ex-classmates in the student section
- Talked to Demetrius Byrd
- Talked to Chad Jones
- Talked to Mikie Mahtook
- Was in pressbox for most of game
- Sat next to CBS crew
- Went down for last drive on the sideline
- <s>Saw Les Miles get fired</s>
- Saw Les Miles stay employed
- Saw Derek Dooley get played by Miles again
- Ran on the field 3 times (LSU "Loss", LSU Win, post-kneel)
- "Talked" to Patrick Peterson ("Great game, I'm trying to get you to NY), Jordan Jefferson, Kelvin Sheppard, Russel Shepard, Ke-ke Mingo and then some
- Went in Locker room for post-game presser
- Rubbed shoulders with Miles' wife and children (Daughter is a year younger and smashable.)
- Interviewed (well, recorded) Peterson, Russel Shepard, Steven Ridley, Jefferson, and Lee
- Peterson gave and tried to sign (only had an expo marker) these:
Spoiler
Spoiler
- Then got to interview plastered fans.
- Found out there's a lady freind fond of me. Very fond of me, apparently.
