I'm being promoted to a shift manager at work. A 2$ pay increase, along with the added responsibilities (which coworkers have told me isn't too much). I'm excited and nervous. I've never been in a position of authority before like this. Thankfully, we have a pretty good group and everyone does their job without much problem. I want to be cool to work with, but not taken advantage of. I know it's a fine line to walk.
It's rewarding knowing your hard work paid off and seeing the benefits come to fruition. I feel pretty good about myself right now.

Next: car & going back to school. They say the longer you wait to go back to school, the less you want to. Completely untrue. Taking time off has totally reenergized me. I didn't rush into going back, and now I can say I'm comfortable with returning. I'm glad I never caved in and went back just to go back because everyone said that's what I had to do. I had a personal plan mapped out and I've stuck the course and I'm excited to continue down this path.
