Re: Off Topic 2010
LOL my local weather people only talk about my weather in my area. New England people don't give a crap about whats happening in the midwest, deep south or west coast. If it isn't in New England they don't talk about it.Do you guys think the weather segment of the news will ever go defunct?
I'm talking about your local news now, not the national stuff on CNN, MSNBC etc.
It's like 8 minutes of maps, graphs and what's going on 3,000 miles away.
In reality, all they need is a scroll telling me what my local weather is for the next 5 or so days.
I honestly don't need the weatherman to explain to me how and where the rain/snow is coming from. I pretty much just take his/her word for it on the forecast cuz I don't have the time to do my own forecasting...if I even had the slightest idea how.
Thats one thing I love about out here, their news really do stick to the local area.Comment

I actually agree with making it transparent, but I really enjoy seeing the "imaginary" strike zone and pitch location for every pitch. I don't necessarily feel it hogs too much space, but making it transparent would easily work for me.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: Off Topic 2010
So I ended up seeing a specialist yesterday for my hand who said the best option would be surgery but if he was me he wouldn't have the surgery. I guess I was lucky in that it was a broken bone and not a torn ligament as the bone breaking prevented the ligament from tearing. The doctor I saw did his residency with the Denver Nuggets and told me how Danny Shayes played a season where he did the same thing to three fingers.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2010
Funny on two accounts:
1) I'm working from home tomorrow anyway because we're having some electrical work done to prepare for when I'll be working from home full-time.
2) I'm feeling a touch of a sore throat this morning, so I may actually be getting sick. Which would suck since I have a busy weekend coming up.Comment

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

So another kid kills herself for being bullied......what the hell is wrong with kids today ? They are way too soft nowadays. I mean if they think this bulling today is bad, they should have seen it in the 70s and 80s where most major cities was still segregated and interracial was a death mark.

There may have been suicides back in the day, but we just didn't hear about them because we didn't have a 24/7 news cycle. So another kid kills herself for being bullied......what the hell is wrong with kids today ? Kids are softer today. My wife complains about kids at her school who are nose pickers. I couldn't believe that the other kids didn't self-regulate that and make fun of the kids for doing it. When I was in 5th grade, a kid in my class got caught "pickin' and eatin'" and he was called "Booger" (or some form thereof) until we graduated.Comment
