    Re: Off Topic 2010

I'm hoping this will turn out to be a positive thing in the sense that it may force me to get my **** together, but...

Corporate just closed down the restaurant I work at, putting roughly 60 or so people out of a job.

    Luckily I'm not paying rent or anything like that, but **** **** **** **** **** **** ****

I worked at Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse, was a host/expoditer/manager's assistant/certified trainer.

18 Bugaboo's closed this week, leaving only a few left. One is close enough to my house and two of the three managers know and like me, so they both have said they want me to come there, so I still should have a job.

Just sucks because there are a lot of people that I "care" about who are now **** out of luck at that place. Made a lot of good friends and a lot of those people are in a lot worse situation than I am - whether that be they were really full time and had families to support, new kids, all of that.

My sister is odd, she don't ever cook what americans consider traditional thanksgiving food. Last year it was italian food. This year she is cooking nothing but sea food. She is having lobsters, crabs, shrimp, scallops, salmon fillets.

That is strange, although I could go for the Lobster, and Crab for Thanksgiving for sure.

                      No turkey on Thanksgiving?

                      That's a HUGE no-no in my books!

Usually for thanksgiving here we have turkey, baked macaroni, custard and sometimes Chow Mein for later in the week.

Looks like winter decided to show up. Cold, cold day with some snow. It wasn't the most pleasant walk on campus with that nippy wind blowing in my face the whole way. Time to break out the the winter coat, I suppose.

Argh. I hate the fact I had to have the late registration day for classes. All the PE classes were filled up besides coaching theory. Really don't know if I want to take that or not, but I may have too to get the amount of credits to be considered full time as no other classes that are less than the full 5 credits sound remotely interesting.
