Re: Off Topic 2010
Not to mention the property crimes such as arranging a joyride in Mr. Belding's new car as well as the conspiracy around framing Jessie's step brother to get rid of him. There was also a DUI, identity theft, and if we go back to Junior High he illegally traded potato options from his teacher's account. Wow he really should have been well acquainted with Juvie before he was 16.Comment

IIRC they use original music, syndication rights was never an issue, it was all about music licensing to sell DVDs or now digital copies.Comment

Haven't heard of Hub before.
And yeah, I do know about the music licensing issues. It'd cost a boatload for them to pay for all that music they used. Unfortunate too because The Wonder Years is in my Top 5 favorite shows of all-time.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2010
Yeah, same. Though I'm not really sure if III was the pinnacle of the series or not. In gameplay terms it probably was, but they took out just about all of those little cutscenes that made the original game so cool (on both NES and Super). The create player mode was fun, though - one of the first ones I had seen up to this point (you could edit names in Ken Griffey Jr, but not attributes).Originally posted by DaymanThat mother ****ing game was checked out at the video rental place every week when I went there for like a year. Maybe more. Every week I would go there hopeful to finally play it only to be disappointed.
I never did play it. I got TSBIII for Christmas and never bothered to go back and try it.
Then the series dropped off the face of the earth after the Playstation version (don't play it even if you're curious - you've been warned) and only resurfaced last year or so.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2010
I still haven't played throwback yet! I loved all the TMSB versions even the ****ty PS version. Trophies from the previous year (like most receptions for the season) carried over on player cards! A feature I still want to see in this gen sports games.Yeah, same. Though I'm not really sure if III was the pinnacle of the series or not. This sounds like something you may want to have checked out. Could be nothing, but sounds similar to an arrhythmia.Starting to get worried...last two nights when I've laid down to go to sleep, I've gotten this weird feeling...kinda like I'm short of breath or something, and my heart starts beating really fast. It used to happen to me like once a month, but now it's happened the last two nights. I really want to go to sleep too.
Ken Griffey, Jr baseball was the first game I ever did the player name editing, and I thought it was the coolest thing. One weekend at my Dads house I found the complete roster (with statistics) of every MLB team from 1993 online and printed them out. Went back home to my mom's and was able to match up about 95% of the players with their stats. It was awesome. Then, the game stopped saving the rosters and I would've had to re-enter them every time I playedYeah, same. Though I'm not really sure if III was the pinnacle of the series or not. The fake names were funny enough anyway. Especially the team with famous females from like 50 years ago

I did the same exact thing but with a sporting news baseball preview magazine. Good times. This sounds like something you may want to have checked out. Could be nothing, but sounds similar to an arrhythmia.

Re: Off Topic 2010
No they don't. Sure, it's on 7-9 everyday but the episodes are random. Tomorrow they're showing 2 high school episodes followed by the junior high episodes.Sure they do. Monday-Thursday. 6-8 AM (CST). But then Fridays is College Years.
Right now they're on Tori episodes. This morning I watched the end of the one where Zack buys fake gold rings for everyone and the beginning of the one where they make the new school song. It's always on in the background as I'm getting ready for work, lol.
Hub. It's part of digital expanded. It's 130 on Comcast. They claim an HD channel but no such thing exists yet in east Tennessee.
Yeah, they use all the original music. It's pretty sweet.Twitter

Re: Off Topic 2010
The one and only time I ever did any kind of name editing in a game was this one. Nivek had given me a baseball preview magazine for the '94 season so I basically used that to put in every name. In a way it was laborious but fun to do!

Re: Off Topic 2010
That's because they don't want to break up Hawaii Style for next Monday. So tomorrow they're showing the final two that were aired as Saved by the Bell and then resetting to the first two of the Miss Bliss season. Then College Years on Friday and the 4-part Hawaiian special (garbage) on Monday. You'll notice that they pick up the Miss Bliss season on Tuesday and continue in order from there.
So if you want to start, tomorrow is the perfect time. Just remember to skip Friday, Monday, then just Fridays after that. Boom, entire collection in order. You have to trust me on this one. I'm a total SBTB nerd.
Fun trivia: Max Battimo (who played Mikey on the Miss Bliss year) is a WCHA linesman. My quest is to get his signature at a UMD game some day.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 11-17-2010, 04:51 PM.Comment
